NELRP 2013 - Who else applied?

Published

This is my first year applying for the NELRP but I have known about it for about 3 years, I just recently got a job at a facility they recognize. I was wondering if anyone here has applied before and is the process really as long as I have been reading on past threads? Oh, and do they tell you why you don't get it if you get denied? I'm just a little nervous because I need this help greatly! :nailbiting:

Non here either .....

I finally broke down & called customer service. The guy I spoke with was very nice & said "under review" was a very good place to be & that basically they've already weeded out those who were in eligible. He also said that it depends on the team that is going through the applications as to how fast people are being notified. I've seen some posts about people seeing signatures on their applications...where did y'all see that? Don't lose hope people...we still got time!!! :)

After you receive the initial email verifying if you still want the reward and asking for banking info, 4-5 weeks goes by, I knew I was looking for this 2nd signature then I randomly looked at my app I see :

Signature: Electronically signed by Lisa Walsh Role: OFAM Approver, HRSA

Date: 08/08/2013 01:47:07 PM EDT

Then on friday at 10 am the email from them making me a participant.

I called today and they said everyone would be informed one way or the other by October!! Looks like we still have time...Anyone applying from Vanderbilt faculty heard anything?

I wonder if they are backed up like last year...

I am a RN and my debt ratio is 100% and my hospital's score is 15. My application status is "under review" and I have not received an email yet. This is considered Tier I, has anyone's application been accepted with a debt ratio of around 100%?

Nothing here..."under review", CRNA, Tier 1, 129%

Mschyckrn, are u RN, NP or faculty and what is your debt to income ratio?

Hi jojo8064,

I am an RN staff nurse, 145% d:I, and my facility is tier 15. I was wrong about the date I see. Someone said it is October so hope is yet alive!!!

This might be helpful for some:

I received the banking info email on 6/12/13 with a 6/19 deadline. I got the acceptance email on 7/8 and I just received my first payment yesterday.

I was told by customer service that the first payment could take up to 90 days to be deposited, but it did not.

Also that folks would be informed of decisions through October. Sending prayers!

Thanks ART_RN,Congratulations to you! Can you share what your qualifications were? Are you NP, faculty, or RN? My daughter is Tier 1, facility 17, RN, debt/income ratio of 181%, still under review. Time is on our side, but it is ...so difficult to wait when this is the second time through the application process and I would love to see her get some relief from that $615/month student loan payment:nurse:

@ LOVE2SPA: Thanks! I'm an RN, currently working at a Community Health Center (Facility score 18)

I must admit, I have not calculated or taken note of my DTI ratio, however it far exceeds 100% (apparent when there's nothing left over at the end of the month but more bills!)

I do understand how nerve wracking the wait can be. I'd planned on calling to check on my first payment at the end of this month, but it arrived ahead of schedule.

My thoughts and prayers are with you that you hear something soon!

^^7 Correction: That should read "facility score 18" Not sure where that emoticon came from...
