NELRP 2013 - Who else applied?

This is my first year applying for the NELRP but I have known about it for about 3 years, I just recently got a job at a facility they recognize. I was wondering if anyone here has applied before and is the process really as long as I have been reading on past threads? Oh, and do they tell you why you don't get it if you get denied? I'm just a little nervous because I need this help greatly! :nailbiting:

Officially just got the welcome packet and was changed to Particiapant and received the payment breakdown!! I am beyond relieved and crying and shaking. There is still lots of time for others. It took less than 24 hours from 2nd signiture to being made a participant. And Yikes i am being taxed 33%. that is a lot, but I think I will have enought to pay off my Private of 40K and make enought payments on my federal to get me thru 10 years when the rest will be forgiven.

I am so blessed to have gotten this, now I can actually get a house loan and move on with my life. Praying for everyone else.

I hope the 24 hr maintenance scheduled for today is related to a bunch of people getting awards next week. There hasn't been many people on here talking about receiving awards. My login looks exactly the same "under review" & no extra files, etc. good luck all- not much longer...

Yes MBCRNA, I hope the maintenance is also going to mean more notifications. I was just checking and my daughters status is still UNDER REVIEW....Hoping and praying it will happen for her. Congratulations micahgibbs, happy to hear things worked out for you:D

Thank you I am praying for everyone, there just is not that many people on the blog this year, it is still really really early in the notification process. I am still in shock, i can now actually buy a house for my family!!

Still nothing here..."under review"

I am still under review as well and have been stressing this scholarship everyday. I've read previous post regarding a congrats email from nurse corp which has boosted my anxiety. I'm constantly searching through yahoo mail, login into hrsa account, followed by cust serv call for updates...and I am told the same thing "notifications will be complete by aug 30"

I'm constantly searching through yahoo mail, login into hrsa account, followed by cust serv call for updates...and I am told the same thing "notifications will be complete by aug 30"

I know this sounds crazy but after stalking the blogs from the last 3 years, a lot of emails go out on Thursday, and that is when I got mine also, and my 2nd signiture was on a thursday also, i dont know why im sure its just a Coincidence but Thursday seems like a big day. And there is still lots of time, i feel bad i almost cried everyday waiting for the notice. This is a horrible process.

Are you an RN and what Tier are you in and what Ratio? Its not a scholarship its a loan repayment for RN's/NP's that have already graduated.

I have been silently following the blog for two years but this is my first year applying for the loan foregiveness. I am nursing faculty tier 2 ratio 166%. It is incredibly frustrating to wait this long and looking through it seems they are behind last year! Last year about this time a flurry of faculty & NPs heard then RNs...it seems as if barely anyone has heard- either that or they aren't posting :no:

What's more frustrating is knowing I will struggle to pay off these loans accrued for the higher ed needed to instruct students who will graduate and automatically make more than me!!!

Still under review here. I saw someone posted the final date is August 30th and that is only about 2 weeks away and people have already gotten initial emails and some have been accepted into the program, so I'm really sad :unsure:. I hope this does not mean that this is all but its going in the wrong direction for me :( I am happy for everyone who has heard something, congrats to you! :up:
