NELRP 2013 - Who else applied?

This is my first year applying for the NELRP but I have known about it for about 3 years, I just recently got a job at a facility they recognize. I was wondering if anyone here has applied before and is the process really as long as I have been reading on past threads? Oh, and do they tell you why you don't get it if you get denied? I'm just a little nervous because I need this help greatly! :nailbiting:

Just got my first disbursement last week!

A nursing school friend of mine was recently notified she received the award last Thursday :) Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Do you remember what date you received notification of the award and was made a participant? I was told on August 8th, so just trying to guage when I might receive my check, hoping to not have to pay my loan payment this month!! Hoping and thinking more people will be notified its still early.

Initial notification for action (banking info) 6/12/13

Follow up email 6/17/13

Acceptance 7/22/13

Contract start date 7/15/13

First disbursement 8/30/13

I believe first disbursement is the end of the month following contract start date

Still under review and I'm getting a little depressed about it. I looked over the feed from last years post and people had received initial letters and signatures by now :-( I wish I knew something now. I'm so happy for everyone who has gotten it so far! I'm wondering if I did something wrong on my application and if so will they say why a person didn't get it?

People are selected until Sept 30th. People are notified of denial in Oct. it looks like people were still notified of initial award sept 10, 11 so on last year. Good luck just a couple of weeks now.

I was notified of acceptance last Thursday, 9/4. Hang in there.
