This is my first year applying for the NELRP but I have known about it for about 3 years, I just recently got a job at a facility they recognize. I was wondering if anyone here has applied before and is the process really as long as I have been reading on past threads? Oh, and do they tell you why you don't get it if you get denied? I'm just a little nervous because I need this help greatly!
grans01 & MBCRNA,
My daughter is an RN, facility score 17, with 181% debt to income and she is still under review...hoping she gets awarded this time. This is the 2nd time she has applied. Good luck to both of you. Her application still says UNDER REVIEW so I still have hope she is being considered.
I'm wondering if everyone who hasn't received the award has a status of 'under review' regardless of whether they have been declined or not. That 'under review' is giving me false hope I feel.[/quote']Grans01,
This is my second time applying. I'm an RN, about 200% debt to income, but HPSA score of 9. I've gone into the process both times assuming I wouldn't get awarded due to the low score (last year I dont think we even had a score, I just applied bc people at my facility had earned it the year before the whole process changed). Last year before August had even ended my application went from 'under review' to 'submitted' which meant no award nor being considered. From what I understand after calling this year, if it still says under review and you havent been awarded yet, you still have the chance of receiving the award should someone decline it. And the guy said a surprising number do. Obviously someone with a higher HPSA score than me would be next in line, but there is still a little sliver of hope!
