  1. I agree grandpaj and pbflash42....it does seem that some awardees have lower Tier and D/I ratios than those not awarded. If they could at least let you know where you ranked it might stop the heartbreaking process of re-applying and waiting every year only to be turned down.. Third time and it was not a charm. Since these are federal funds shouldn't the awarding be a uniform process??
  2. Congratulations!! That's great news that they are starting to notify. I have been checking to see if anyone has gotten information. My daughter has an app in for the 3rd time, hoping this one is the charm. Great news for you!!
  3. So sad:sorry: My daughter got her rejection e-mail today. Second time applying and not funded again. Just so sad for her...I wish they could at least send a ranking of where you placed with all factors considered. I think it would be easier to handle knowing how many people above you qualified and what the funding was awarded to.
  4. grans01 & MBCRNA, My daughter is an RN, facility score 17, with 181% debt to income and she is still under review...hoping she gets awarded this time. This is the 2nd time she has applied. Good luck to both of you. Her application still says UNDER REVIEW so I still have hope she is being considered.
  5. Thanks for sharing coast2coast! It gives me hope that there is still a chance my daughter will receive good news:up:. Hoping and praying.
  6. Thanks ART_RN, I appreciate the encouragement! Happy for all those receiving this much needed financial assistance. Nothing to do now but pray and wait:shy:
  7. Thanks ART_RN,Congratulations to you! Can you share what your qualifications were? Are you NP, faculty, or RN? My daughter is Tier 1, facility 17, RN, debt/income ratio of 181%, still under review. Time is on our side, but it is ...so difficult to wait when this is the second time through the application process and I would love to see her get some relief from that $615/month student loan payment:nurse:
  8. Yes MBCRNA, I hope the maintenance is also going to mean more notifications. I was just checking and my daughters status is still UNDER REVIEW....Hoping and praying it will happen for her. Congratulations micahgibbs, happy to hear things worked out for you:D
  9. Charstar, Congratulations!! Are you RN or faculty? What tier, HPSA, and debt:income ratio? Hopeful there are many more notifications to be sent:D
  10. This waiting is excruciating!! My daughter has applied for the second time in three years, RN, tier 1, HPSA 17, debt:income - 189%...she is still "under review". I panicked when I saw that the notifications were time sensitive. I reminded her to check her spam folder as well. I cannot imagine losing the award because of a response not received in time, that would be heart breaking It does seem as though notifications are going out much earlier than in the past. Hoping and praying for her.
  11. Thank you CHCRN...I was looking for the link to the log in:).
  12. Does anyone know how to log-in after the cycle has closed to view the status of your application. When I go to the web site it just says the cycle is closed. I would love to see if the application is being reviewed. Thanks
  13. wife&mommyRN, Yes the program has gone through many changes in the past few years.(uploading the application and half of the funding is now reserved for NP's) My daughter applied for the 2011 cycle manually and was not funded. She has applied again and we are hoping she is funded in this cycle. Her criteria are all met so we will just wait to see the outcome. So many well deserving/hard-working nurses and never enough money to support them. Good luck to you in application:)
