Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!

I do have a question has anyone gotton the emails and not received the award?

There is a poster earlier in the thread who stated he received an email last year and did not get an award.

Tgarris, we discussed that topic earlier in this blog....there were like 2 people, go back and read the previous threads from awhile ago...I think that is the reason why waiting is so agonizing! Because now that we found out some people got the emails and not the letter, you really don't know if you get the award until you receive that letter!!

It definitely seems longer this year with the whole waiting thing. I am now just getting super disappointed everytime I get my mail. I really wish I could know like those others whose attn person told them. I wish my attn person would just tell me yay or nay so I can stop worrying about it so much. I feel like I constantly have it in my head, like i'm obsessed now or something. I hate this!

I received an email, from the gold team, during what must have been the 2nd wave (around 8/4). Those of you that have had contact with your reps from HRSA....did they contact you first? I'm not sure what I'm waiting for first. An email from my rep or a letter in the mail. They should seriously consider including anti ulcer medications in the application packet...I'm dying over here.

Bev, that's great u received an email. What was it? Was it the contract? Or somethin else? Yes I agree about the antiulcer meds. I hate it

It was one the infamous possible recipient letters from the gold team, complete with the contract and banking info. It's hard to believe they'd get this far with each of our applications only to deny us in the end. Then again, it is the federal government. Nothing they do is very logical or efficient.

I think the people who know already had responded to that email and got information that way.

BevRN- I got contacted first by my Attn person, but I think I may be the only one who was contacted for anything other than for a problem/question about the paperwork. Is that right?

Everyone just breathe. I've kept calm and haven't had high expectations when I check my mail UP UNTIL this point! Now getting that letter any day is a real possibility and it's starting get very nerve wracking. BUT recognize that NO ONE has received a contract yet. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to be discouraged yet.

I agree completely too, Suzy! I am glad I have this blog, even though I just know I'm going to get on this blog one day soon and everyone's gonna be like, "I got the award!!!", and I still will will not have gotten anything (esp cause my mail doesn't come till like 4 pm). But I agree that nobody has yet gotten awarded, so hopes should still be high for all of us!!! It's still nerve-wracking though....

I guess I was just thinking that letters would start rolling out this week... I thought one of the 2 that knows they got it said their person said it should be about a week until she got her letter?

I received the banking/contract email from the GOLD team on 8-2.

I haven't heard a peep yet.

But, I am hopeful - everyone on here seems so deserving - best of luck to all of us!

Hi All!

I just stumbled upon this link this week and have tried to read all of the post. I have not heard anything from HRSA regarding my application. Is this a bad thing? Just wanted to get your opinion.
