NCTC ADN Fall 2014

I just wondering if there are others out there applying this May for the Fall 2014 class. I just found out I have everything to apply at NCTC but with a B in A&P I I only have 10 points and I'm not sure if I will make the cut. Anyone else?

Has anyone looked into when we should register for classes? Also was curious if anyone else plans on working during school?

I will be working full time because I don't have a choice.... Also they register for us on a day they assign for us to come in orientation. I worked full time in the LVN program as well, super hard especially with a family but it can be done!

i still need to take micro.. what is the scoop on SD Smith at the Gainesville campus for a teacher?

She's a little tough, as long as you do the homework and lab assignments you should be fine....just don't miss lab.

I'm planning on trying to work some...PRN as a CNA or PCT. Also my guess is setting up a Facebook page for our class is for us to do...I can tackle it over the weekend but I'm not super Facebook savvy (don't laugh at me...stalker x-husband so I haven't done any social media). But I think a page for us would be a good way for us to start communicating.

Shine_On from what I have seen, someone sets up the page for us every class as we have mentors. Our page will be private! So no one can get on unless we approve them. :-)

The micro prof at Gainesville is tough. However, she is very passionate about what she teaches and gives every opportunity for the student to do well in her class. You do have to work hard however to do well! Out of all my pre-reqs that was the one class I had to study for the most.

Love that we have a mentor, I saw others mention a mentor in the thread from last fall but I didn't know that was something they do in the program. That's great....then I won't worry about setting anything up rt now. We will find out soon enough what's, what, I'm sure. I'm having such a hard time doing almost nothing for school! I feel lost. Haha. Thanks for the info, TWishes.

I feel the same. I don't know what to do with myself now that I am not studying! Good thing I am going out of town this Sunday!

Great idea! I'm coming back from 3 day vac with my husband. Found out while away about the score. Relax while you can and enjoy some down time. I'm going to spend time reading and reviewing all my past class info and try to prepare for first semester by keeping my reading and comprehension up to speed. Also I'm going to clean my house from top to bottom while reorganizing everything. This will make life easier on my family too. Finally, I'm going write all my birthday, anniversary, and Christmas cards NOW so that I will be able to be ahead of the holidays, including buying my Thanksgiving turkey because from what I've heard you are lucky to get six hours of sleep on a good night and barely have time to breathe!!

I plan to clean and organize my house too. That is a good idea about the cards, I may do that too!
