NCTC ADN Fall 2014

I just wondering if there are others out there applying this May for the Fall 2014 class. I just found out I have everything to apply at NCTC but with a B in A&P I I only have 10 points and I'm not sure if I will make the cut. Anyone else?

For anyone who already bought scrubs...the landau true red, are they the awful unisex ones with almost no pockets? I also saw some women's plain landau scrubs in true red that weren't as bad & had some pockets. I have only looked online, I'm going to go to a scrub store in the next few weeks so I can try some on. I read the landau brand runs big & I'm pretty small so I want to get an idea of fit before I buy anything. I just want to make sure I get the right ones.

I plan on going to scrubs ect. In Lewisville to try some on. I'm usually a medium in scrubs, but a small with unisex. I also need petite.

Any idea when the we should expect the packet to arrive?

I think the packet arrives with the acceptance letter at least that's how it was with the lvn.

Who else is looking to car pool? I live in Lewisville. My friend that got into the program lives in Corinth. The more the merrier. Here's some background info on me: I have 2 kids, am divorced, and just turned 32. I work full time as a dental asst. but won't be able to continue. I've been working hard toward this goal for the last year and a half, taking a couple classes at a time. So glad to be at this point! Can't wait to meet everyone!!!

Hi all, hope your day is going well in spite of weather. FYI, I just found out that you can not count of being accepted into the program as we are not 100% confirmed for ADN program this Fall. We have to wait till we receive the confirmation letter! If you have a low score even if it was above the minimum, then you may not make it in. UGH!!! Since I applied also to the LVN program earlier this year I will follow through with applying so that I am backed up. Good thing I did not buy those scrubs yet. :( Oh dear.....

SAM0609, I am hoping to carpool too. I live in The Colony so not far from Lewisville. I remember reading last fall that there was a group that met at the Corinth campus, perhaps we could consider that since you have another friend that lives in Corinth. We will have to see how the class/clinical assignments fall when we all get out packets....and make sure we are all confirmed!

It seems there are a good group of us doing this with kids...I have 4 boys 17, 14, 12 and another at UT Austin. I also am divorced and did prereqs as a single parent but now I'm blessed to have a wonderful supportive fiance.
