So my NCLEX is scheduled for tomorrow morning, and my nerves are starting to get the best of me. I can't even manage to eat lunch, and I don't know how I'm going to stomach dinner tonight let alone breakfast tomorrow. I am cramming for OB because this is my weakest area- I think that I am ok for the rest of it except for brushing up on blood gasses and electrolytes.
Does anyone have any advise on how to remain in a calm state of mind tonight and tomorrow morning? I am somewhat concerned that my nerves will get the best of me and keep me from performing well tomorrow- I have a history of freezing up on tests sometimes. Any words of encouragement would be appreciated. TIA.

Wishing you luck!
Just be confident that you know your material. You do.

Take a deep breath! Stop cramming, stop studying around 6pm. If you have been advidly studying you know the material. If you dont know if by now youre not going to know it by tomorrow morning. Havd confidence and keep telling yourself that you are ready and are going to pass. Take a hot bath tonight, eat dinner and have a hardy breakfast tomorrow morn. all while telling yourself I am going to pass. Cramming will only make things worse and you will still feel out of control. So beleive in yourself and put the rest into god's hand. Good Luck!!

Mine is in 2 days and I am in the same boat. I am doing my reading for next week when classes start to take a break from the NCLEX book. I'll do a few more practice exams and then that's it. It's out of my hands now. Either I know it or I don't.

I take in 2 weeks and I'm already on edge haha. I agree with not cramming. I think cramming right before will make things more overwhelming. I know when I start to cram, I begin to think about all the things I don't know and then I really freak out... In reality, we can't know everything. I'm sure you have studied hard and have done all that you can for it and with that in mind, you will pass!
Good luck to you!:balloons:

Good luck to you tomorrow! When I find myself losing focus on an exam, it helps me to close my eyes and take some deep breaths.
For now, keep in mind that you've spent years acquiring your nursing knowledge, so rather than cramming TOO much, you're better off trying to get some sleep.

Good luck everyone! I was scheduled for the 17th but opted to change it to tomorrow so I'm now in the same boat. Got a few butterflies floating around but I have faith that nursing school has prepared me well and so long as I stay focused it will all be good.
Stay tuned!

god bless. (cool it rhymes! lol)
Thank you to everyone who replied. I got 75 questions, so I'll take that as a good sign.
A word of advice: Bring a sweater. Those testing center can be pretty chilly in the wintertime!
Good luck to all of you :)
