Hi my names Leanne! I am from canada. I completed a nursing degree at Lakehead University. I registered with Minnesota board of nursing and I am writing my nclex on January 7th.

I am nervous because the Canadian Exam is very very different. The Nclex is alot harder. I'm worried that the education is much different, and already I realized that in the states the Metric system isn't used.

Currently I am using lippincotts Nclex review on my PDA is a computer format. I also downloaded a CD version of KEPLAN study guide. I recently just bought flashcards from some website.

I cant afford to pay for a class, due to the fact I just recently graduated from Canada and had to pay to write that exam and register with my province.

Does anyone have any advice. I see lots of people are using Suzzanes plan? How is that helping? It states you have to post 15 posts first, and have more than 45 days prior to your exam. Well I write in 2 months... is this enough time???

I also believe that prayers do help...... Although some people may not believe in it.... this may help others in terms of calming their nerves, boosting their confidence or even just giving hope to those who are in need.... Prayers also got me through nursing school ofcourse studying is a key component but faith also plays a major role

I don't see any practical reason for this thread. I do not believe prayer will do any good. Hard work and lots of studying will, though.

It's all in what you believe but many people do believe in prayer as a way of cleansing their mind, giving them strength and giving their burdens to GOD! Until you try it you will never know but I do know it has worked for many people. If you do better without prayer, great. Many people have strong faiths which will pull them through in this time of difficulty! Good Luck to you on your studies!:nuke:

If you don't see a reason for this thread, then don't post a comment. Everyone has their own beliefs and trusting God may not be yours, and that's ok....for you. You are right, studying and hard work do pay off because you have to put your own effort into it, but there are some of us who believe that prayer works, and believe in a higher power, I've seen it work. To each his own.... :rolleyes:
