Nursing Students NCLEX

I took my exam yesterday 6/27/29. Computer stop at 75. This is my 21 time taking the exam. I had only 30-45 minutes left to complete my 6 hours.

It is a word describing the act of slapping one’s palm against one’d own forehead in an expression of utter disbelief at the stupidity of a situation with which they are faced.
In this case, reading about a person with limited understanding of English who ‘graduated’ from an expensive nursing school without the ability to pass the licensing exam to practice as a nurse...but yet has tried 21 times even though everyone tells her it is completely futile and an utter waste of money and time.
I’m truly sorry this hasn’t worked out for you but you do need to hear this. The sooner you accept reality the sooner you can get past this phase of your life.

Hi, Sianee! As the previous posters figured out, your problem may be your lack of english knowledge that is preventing you from passing. Maybe enroll in an ESL class or something before you retake the exam again (if that's really what you want to do. Though I would suggest taking a different path). You will probably understand what's being asked of you more easily. Also, how did you pass nursing school without a solid English background? I assume you went to school outside of the US. Please update me on your plans. I want you to succeed in whatever you choose to do! ?

So, just a recap: You went to a private, for-profit nursing school with a low NCLEX pass rate; English is not your first language; and you've failed NCLEX 21 times
I mean this very kindly, but you were taken advantage of. Private colleges are diploma mills; all they want is your money. No reputable nursing program should graduate a student unable to pass the NCLEX in 20+ attempts. All the review classes on Earth aren't going to make up for the fact that your school set you up for failure.

I’ve been reading through her past posts. The answer to “what is your school’s pass rate” a couple of years ago was “average”. Now she says “low”. A couple of years ago she thought the reason for the difficulty was because of stress with her job with juvenile delinquents. Doesn’t seem to be a factor now, it’s inability to retain information. Unless there is a brain injury involved that shouldn’t be the reason either.
I don’t know where to go from here.
There were many people in my cohort that had English as their second language (even third...) and everyone seems to be passing their boards just fine.I still honestly think we're being trolled here. Then she says "I love spending money it doesn't hurt me" what kind of backwards response is that? Just sign back up for an ADN program then if you have an overabundance of money and time to waste. Or better yet, send me the money. I can use it lol. Sheesh.

Not true of all private colleges. My undergraduate was from a small private college- the tuition is well under what the state schools charge and the NCLEX pass rate is above average. There are many other small private colleges around me that are similar. Are there predatory for-profit colleges? Absolutely. But not all private colleges are equal.

I was thinking of those "technical institutes" like Everest and ITT that prey on people, including non-native English speakers.

What! 21 times? I've never heard of that. The longest I heard was 6x and I thought that was crazy. You must have a strong conviction bc I surely would have reconsidered nursing. That's a bit scary tbh.
You should read some of their older posts.... I'm convinced he/she is just someone that periodically comes on here to pull our strings for a response.
