I'm going to take my NCLEX RN for the 14th time in March. In using UWORLD and Picmonic. My problem is knowledge deficit, memory deficit and anxiety. If I stop taking the Exam, I'm going to forget everything which is worse. I know people who Failed and give up and do not want to be one of those people. Any ideas please let me know and help me.
I understand how you feel especially graduating from nursing school so long ago. I graduated in Dec 2011 from my nursing program; however, I did not take the NCLEX exam until January 25th 2017.(I had a lot of personal problems in my life so I was not focus. I will share later my testimony on allnurse.com) But by the grace of God, I passed the NCLEX for the first time with the minimum of 75 questions after 5 years. Yes I pass the NCLEX with 75 question!! I studied INTENSELY for about 4.5 months and I used excellent nursing resouces to do my review. But I know it was God who helped me to remember the contents after 5 years. I did my part and He finished the rest. My next step is to take a license refresher course which starts next week.
Anyways, email me at ...I would love to help you.

I'm an atheist or agnostic but God had nothing to do with you passing. If he did, why didn't he let you take the NCLEX sooner & so you wouldn't have to waste time & money? License refresher courses aren't cheap.

Congrats! You obviously went to a good school, that taught you what you needed to know, and therefore a rigorous review was adequate for you.
However, your story is in no way related to the OP, who has tested 13 times in the last 2 years and has tried many different reviews. She clearly either did not receive an adequate education, or she simply does not have the critical thinking skills required for minimum competency. As outsiders, we have no idea which it is, but giving OP false reassurance and hope that maybe the 14th or 15th or 40th time will provide a miracle is unrealistic and unhelpful.
Firstly, there is no respecter of person with God. God can help a believer of faith, non-believer, atheist or agonist. Because of my faith in God, I know it was Him that put the right people to encourage and guide me to pass my NCLEX. The nurses and nursing student on allnurse.com is trying to do that for you/ Yeah, I had a knowledge deficient and slight learning disability but I conquered that by constantly going over my content until I got understanding.
I did not have a tutor, I study on mine own. I used Hurst, Remar, and U-World and the ytube.
Secondly, I know it seems questionable that God can do this for me but anything is possible if you believe that God has infinite power to perform a miracle.
I was an average/borderline student who had learning disability in nursing school. Just like you, I graduated several years ago, from a nursing program. I worked a full-time job plus hours in which I disliked and I had other responsibilities that kept me busy while trying to take my NCLEX for the first time on January 25, 201
By the grace of God, I took it only once and past with only answering 75 questions. I did study intensely and took notes but I will not give all the credit to myself because I graduated from my nursing program in December 2011. I had a lot to remember. I just focus and prioritized my time. I got off social media and limited my socializing to my family and friends. I became a hermit while preparing for this exam.
Thirdly, it is not God's fault that I waited so long. It was not the right time for me. If I had taken the NCLEX, months and years ago after graduating, I probably would had failed. I was going thru a major depression. I buried my child, had a miscarriage while in the nursing program and went through a nasty divorce after nursing school. But I allowed God to heal my mind and emotions so I can refocus. The prize is given to those who endured to end of the race. I never stop wanting to become a nurse because I have the desire to help people. Yes, it took 5 years but I did it on the first try with prayer and hard work. After 5 years of graduating, I could not remember anything and lacked a lot of knowledge of the content.
I posted not to debate if God did this for me. I thought you wanted sound advice and guidance about the resources I used. I am sorry, I misunderstood your posting. Also, I am not too worried about the price of the refresher course. I will earn this back in due time. Plus my college was paid by the GI Bill!
I am sorry if I sound too frank but I thought you wanted help. I wish you great success.
Thank you. It was prayer and hard work. I went to a average school. The passing rate in the last 3 years was 78 percent. However, I did mention that I graduated about 5 years ago and I pass on the very first try with 75 questions. I also worked 40 plus hours a week and hated my job. But once I became focus, I allowed NCLEX to become my only priority even though I had other responsibilities.
I was trying to encourage her. I think this person is not real. After reading her other posting, she does not make sense.
When I started my journey, I researched what other nursing student used to pass the NCLEX. My school did not help me at all. My nursing chairman ridicule me for waiting 5 years to take the test. She did not even advise me at all or recommend any study material. I just trusted God.
Anyways, I am posting my testimony, some where else, to encourage another nursing student who has lost hope and needs to hear a story for encouragement.

I couldn't read your previous post to do formatting error.
Before I go off on a tanget (about religion), I'll just end it now.
I'm glad you see that the OP is probably trolling us. You're case is different. You attempted the NCLEX *once* even though it was 5 years after graduation. The OP has taken the NCLEX over 10 times in 3 years, asks for advice & doesn't take it. Even though it had been some time for you, you didn't take the NCLEX more than once. Whereas the OP continues & continues to take the NCLEX after each failure & doesn't change anything. Two completely different stories.

Yes good for you! I also did not immediately take NCLEX because of some major life changes. 4 years after graduation I took a refresher course and passed NCLEX first time 75 questions. I attribute a lot of succes to my review and consistent studying, but as they say.. there by go by the grace of God. Congrats to you!
I dont think the problem with this OP is that she has been out of school so long or the fact she has taken this exam so many times. As so many others have pointed out there is probably a lot more to this story going on than we know. If the OP chooses not to head the advice so many nurses have given then that falls upon her. Either she will find a way to do everything possible to achieve this goal, or she will have to find a new goal.
Well, the OP just posted on another thread that she's taking the NCLEX in March "for the 14th time." Posted this AM. So, 80 posts in and nothing has changed. Falling on deaf ears? Or are we being punked? I can't tell.
I'm sure we will see another post in the middle of March from her stating she'll be taking the NCLEX again in April for the 15th time.
I'm out. OP -- I've actually never said this, to anyone, ever, but your lack of critical thinking skills are truly frightening. I am hopeful that you are, indeed, pulling our collective legs.
I'm going to work with someone one by one. This person told me that I'm not studying enough. She will be helping me for free. She says and help many people to pass so I'm counting on her.
It's not that you're studying too much or too little. You clearly don't grasp the concepts needed. What you need to do is go back to school. There have been two posts from people who waited *years* to take the NCLEX but passed on the first try. It has been years for you but you continue to fail.
The fact that you keep coming to this forum & asking for advice but refuse to take it is mortifying. I honestly am so scared. What if you happen to pass the NCLEX & get a job. All the qualities you have shown us here do not make good nurse.
Counting on her? She's not taking the NCLEX for you. Depend on yourself & take the advice of many, many nurses & go back to school at a minimum. It is clear you are lacking a *lot* of what it takes to be nurse.
I have never said this before but please just stop attempting the NCLEX. You are really scaring me. I don't want to read about you in the news because you killed a patient.

Nnekn1: I agree that one should lend a hand, however, many posters have been giving the OP many suggestions over several times. The OP has come again asking for advice regarding what to do, the answers are still the same. OP has stated they feel the need to retake the exam every 45ish days. This has not been working for them. Given the posts from the OP it does not appear that they have heeded any of the advice or tried options mentioned by PPs. People have been caring towards the OP and are trying to help. OP has stated that they are struggling with passing the NCLEX and is evidenced by the fact that three years and 13 times later cannot pass the basic critical thinking test needed for entry level nursing.
