Hello Nursing World,
I finally decided to make an account after coming to this site almost everyday, for the past several weeks, to research nursing topics. It has helped me greatly and Thank you all for you contributions!
I recently graduated from an ADN program and I am soooo happy and grateful that I was actually able to complete it because it was the MOST challenging experience I have EVER gone through in my entire life. I have to admit, it has been extremely hard to get back to the studying for the NCLEX. It's like my brain rejects the information every time I try to pick up a book and do questions... my brain says: "oh, no not you again." hahaha.... ugh! Never the less, I know I have to prepare for this beast which brings me to this post. I was thinking... Why not challenge some of you who plan on taking the NCLEX late? March/early April 2011?
What do you guys think? Maybe we can message each other here by the end of the day and share whether or not you met your daily goal. For example, I have 2 books (lacharity and Davis Q&A) and I plan on doing 100-150 questions a day until my test date. Even if I do 20-25 in increments throughout the day, the point is to do them daily. Then I will come here and share how my day went. That way we can motivate each other through this excruciating journey.
Whaddayasay huh?!?.... I plan on starting this Sunday... Let me know if any of you guys are interested, I would love to motivate and be motivated by you guys... We need to get together and tame this beast! Lets do this!!!!

Hello fellow April test takers. I took my test on the 7th and got the good pop up a few hours later. I paid for the quick results and it said I passed. I had 265 ?'s and it was a lot of SATA, infection control, prioritzing and who would you discharge. I stuided NCSBN (which were A LOT like the Nclex), hurst and I did the QT1-7 trainers via slideshare. I did take the exam in the beginning of Feb and failed. So I am living proof that it you know your content, you'll pass even if you get ALL 265! Good luck. PS I prayer everyday and 5 times during the test. I am a believer and I know that God has a plan for me and it was my time. :heartbeat I wish you all the best!
congrats to you.. i hope il pass too.. il be taking my exam on 18th... wheew...
Hey y'all I passed the NCLEX:yeah::yeah: April 4, 2011:idea:
It was a beast! I had 75 questions. I would love more than anything to answer any of your questions, so ask away!! It was my 2nd time btw, dreams do come true and they will for you too!!! :redbeathe:redbeathe:redbeatheGood luck everyone!! Pray and study, eat healthy, exercise, get rest. And do thousands of questions. Most importantly, do practice exams that are timed and don't get frustrated by your score, but get motivated from the learning. NCLEX is like a game, and once you figure out the rules, you're golden!!

Congrats to ALL who PASSED!!!
I'm taking my test April 19 and starting to get anxious...My kaplan's going to expire tonight and now i'm just watching the videos on class questions and try to take the Practice test 6 later. My scores are averaging from 52%-60% and i finished all of the questions on the Q-bank. I'm also using the Saunder's book and CD 4th edition.
Any pointers and tips from the one who already passed? Thank u so much. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Hi!
I'm using Saunders 4/ed. & Kaplans Strategies for PN Licensing Exam. This 2nd time I Have only done 800 questions on CD and reading/studying most of the Saunders book content. I'm scoring 65-75% on the Saunder quizzes and assessments. I'm wondering if that will be good enough.
I do need to do alot of menomic memorizomg for infection control, medications etc.
I'm scheduled to take it 4/29 and feel like I'm running out of time. I graduated 12/15/10 and took it early Feb., but didn't pass due to lack of fully understanding the critical thinking have been studying since mid-Feb. I feel exhausted/burnt out going thru all of the content. I made B's mostly, a few A's & C's in my program. Do you have any advice for me?
Thank you for your help!!:up:
Hi everyone. I am new here and am getting really nervous. I am schedule to take my NCLEX on April 13th. Has anyone used NCLEX 4000 to prepare, and if so what were your scores. I am currently score in the 70's and am wondering if I should change my test date as I really need to pass this on the first time. Thank you for any advice or information.
