  1. Hey y'all I passed the NCLEX:yeah::yeah: April 4, 2011:idea: It was a beast! I had 75 questions. I would love more than anything to answer any of your questions, so ask away!! It was my 2nd time btw, dreams do come true and they will for you too!!! :redbeathe:redbeathe:redbeatheGood luck everyone!! Pray and study, eat healthy, exercise, get rest. And do thousands of questions. Most importantly, do practice exams that are timed and don't get frustrated by your score, but get motivated from the learning. NCLEX is like a game, and once you figure out the rules, you're golden!!
  2. I PASSED THE NCLEX Monday!!!!!!! For anyone who wants to pass, study Saunders for content, Kaplan short book for strategies (both available at library). Then buy Lipincott NCLEX 4000 (available on amazon). Do sections and keep doing those questions until you get 65-70%. You will get there, and then you will go in and nail it like I did and do 75 questions. Take your time. If you get anxious during questions, close your eyes and envision a STOP sign, with the lines outlining it, and STOP right in the middle and then open your eyes reread the question and answers and rethink it through calmly. Refrain from anxiety-believe me it is what will kill you! This test is more about strategy than anything else so memorize those strategies Kaplan tells you and GO FOR IT! Don't look back!!!!
  3. hypoglycemia right? Decreased LOC, but the question doesn't state any s/s...
  4. ques: what is worse, hyponatremia of 120 or hypoglycemia of 60? I think I need to figure out these kind of questions if I want to pass...if anyone can advise me on the answer and train of thought, greatly appreciated!
  5. I failed :( at 75 questions...I'm beside myself, trying to stay positive...everyone tells me a diff way to study I don't know what to do! Should I pay for a Kaplan course??????
  6. Thank you! I am overwhelmed right now...but hanging in there. I appreciate the advice!
  7. Unfortunately I did not pass Am studying for this again...I paid the $200 bucks again, and am waiting for a new ATT I hate life right now, am not sure if will pass 2nd time, but am praying + hoping, and studying...
  8. If the NCLEX only knew what it does to pre-nurses... I woke up this am and felt like I should not get out of bed. I am a pretty happy, motivated person most of the time! Right now I am a mess!!!!!!!! Maybe I'll do the PVT trick later, but I am in school full-time towards my NP-so don't want to ruin my day or work that needs to be done towards school right now Ughhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Thank you both for responding, we're all in this together and all going to the same job :) I have been a nervous wreck, but am praying for a pass and praying for all of you! I googled to see what this PVT trick is, am not sure if I can do the PVT trick cause I may freak out and not sleep if it asks for my cc..LOL pheeew deep breathe, pray..........Thank you again for your support! And october 28, hang in there!!! :)
  10. what is the PVT? How do you know if you passed bf the 48 hrs? Thanks!
  11. nurse_pink..please HELP!!! I am having extreme anxiety. Just took NCLEX today and am freaking out. I want to call Anderson review course and sign up to take the prep course again!! Ahhhhh! I had 75 questions and then it shut off. My questions did not seem that hard, and bc I am not a good test taker I got so nervous I started thinking they weren't hard enough-for example, priority, infection control, only a few SATA, and no med calcs, diagrams, fill in blanks... I did have a few med questions but seemed too simple-for example cough is s/e of Ace Inhib, and the last question seemed too easy, asking me what to chk when administering potassium--of course apical pulse was the answer, for was only cardiac related...I am so scared tho, had a lot of muskuloskeletal and didn't know those, and think it may have started going downhill from there... I feel like I know there is a chance, I got some correct...why didn't it give me a chance to redeem myself after 75? I studied so hard, yet feel I had the hardest time answering even the delegation questions! What should I do?? I am freaking out!!!!!!!!
