NCLEX-RN Exam on April 2011, need motivation?

Published

Hello Nursing World,

I finally decided to make an account after coming to this site almost everyday, for the past several weeks, to research nursing topics. It has helped me greatly and Thank you all for you contributions!

I recently graduated from an ADN program and I am soooo happy and grateful that I was actually able to complete it because it was the MOST challenging experience I have EVER gone through in my entire life. I have to admit, it has been extremely hard to get back to the studying for the NCLEX. It's like my brain rejects the information every time I try to pick up a book and do questions... my brain says: "oh, no not you again." hahaha.... ugh! :uhoh3: Never the less, I know I have to prepare for this beast which brings me to this post. I was thinking... Why not challenge some of you who plan on taking the NCLEX late? March/early April 2011? :yeah: What do you guys think? Maybe we can message each other here by the end of the day and share whether or not you met your daily goal. For example, I have 2 books (lacharity and Davis Q&A) and I plan on doing 100-150 questions a day until my test date. Even if I do 20-25 in increments throughout the day, the point is to do them daily. Then I will come here and share how my day went. That way we can motivate each other through this excruciating journey.

Whaddayasay huh?!?.... I plan on starting this Sunday... Let me know if any of you guys are interested, I would love to motivate and be motivated by you guys... We need to get together and tame this beast! Lets do this!!!!:lol2:

hi guys! how is your studying doing? i took my first test last year, i failed with 265... then just took the nclex second time last april 2, it shut down at 75 and got a good pop up! hopefully i really did make it, now after my first test, i realize what book is right for this exam and that is La Charity... the best so far...! it focuses on prioritization, delegation and assessment. i higly recommend that..

Can u send me the lacharity practice questions It would be a good help to me since il be taking my nclex for the 3rd time this month please my email add is [email protected] Thank in advnce for the kind heart who will be sending it to me : )

hi kinkes, dont rely on ur own understanding, failing nclex doesn't mean u cant ever pass it.left to me u don't need studing partner cos u have studing partners ones u have nurses.com.

this is a place where ur voice can be heard, where one reach one thru' out the world.try to read people write up,comment, advise, study style, books dt helped them, key point and pneumonics which i called shortcut to success.this will help u to maximize ur time.

if there is anything whatsoever u need to know just sign in and ask people, i know u will surely get an answer.

goodluck!!!!!!

Helo when is ur nclex? mine is on 18th.. im feelin really anxoius too.. im getting 60%-70% on my practice tests on NClex 4000 and 70-80% on Saunders do you think Ill do good in the actual exam?

hi thundahh, my is also 18th and i still have alot to cover but i dont want to rely on my own understanding. i will do all wt it takes to excel and put the rest in GODs hand.im using sunders, nclex 4000,exam cram, linda la charity and alternate format.i believe nothing is imposible though im not getting 70% yet which is my major concern cos by now i should be above dt.

i believe GOD is not a magician i gat to be fully prepared for him to crown my little knowledge.

keep on trying thundah.. the thing is we never know what questions you will haveo n actual nclex test.. the most important thing is you know how to read the stem, understand and maybe reword (kaplan style) the question to make it simpler and easier for you to understand. you ought to have test taking strategies in addition to your knowledge..
