NCLEX results in California

Hi! I'm going to take the NCLEX this coming Saturday at 8 AM. Does anyone know how we can find out if we passed or not without having to wait 2 to 4 weeks? I know a lot of you have found your results within 48 hours. However I went to the California Board of Registered Nurses website and there was no mention of quick results. I was just wondering because after the Nclex, I want to take a vacation but the timing will be very tight since my job starts August 10, and I will be re-locating.

Hi,

First of all, good luck to you!!! To find out whether you passed you would need to wait 3 business days and then go to the California Board of Registered Nursing web site and click on Online Services (www.rn.ca.gov/online). Once there, search by last and first names under permanent license verification.

Now, DO NOT PANICK OR ASSUME THAT YOU FAILED if your name does not appear within 3 business days. 2 of my classmates (we just graduated from a BSN program in May) freaked out and sent in re-testing applications only to find their names posted 2 weeks later. I heard from people who graduated earlier that sometimes it takes even longer. The main reason for the delay is that folks at the BRN misplace transcripts of new graduates quite often.

Also, all of us had any number of questions: myself and a few others had 75; one poor guy had 265 (he passed); others had over 100 or 80 something. So far, 12 people who I know took NCLEX all passed!!!

So, relax, do lots of practice questions and aim to pass!!!:balloons:

I'm just really anxious to get the exam over with. I'm feeling my energy level is getting lower and lower. I haven't been doing as many practice questions as I should be doing. I used to do about 150 or more questions a day. These days I find myself only doing between 50 to 100 a day. I feel like I should be freaking out right now, but I'm really not.

Hmmmmm....I went to that BON website and it says that the page is not available. Drats! I REALLY don't want to have to wait 2-4 weeks for the results. I need a vacation before I start working. Can't go on vacation until I get my results.

caliornia does not participate in quick results from peason-vue. seeing your name up on the website can be anywhere from three days to three weeks, if not more.

the issue is with how fast that your school actually gets your transcripts in to the brn, ca will permit you to test without receiving those, but will not release a license until they have them. and that means that the only way to get your results, is when your name is up. they will not notify you that you passed the exam, just when you are issued your license.

you will see some students of your school possibly get results in a few days, average time for ca is about ten days. there is nothing that you can do to speed things up, this is their process and how they do things.

Does anyone know STEP BY STEP how California board of nursing process "Passed" v.s. "Failed" NCLEX results right after they receive the score from the test center?

Found out in 3 days, you must have passed then, congrats!!!

I found out from the board that one of my documents is missing, I'm wondering if ALL the necessary documents must be on file in order for them to process the results even though the test score showed it failed? Anyone knows their process procedure in detail? I'd appreciate it very much for the info. Thanks.

The file must be complete in order for them to relase any resutls. pass or fail. If it is complete and you passed, you can check the website or call to check. If you failed, you can call or wait for a letter in the mail.

i took my exam last july 12, until now i havnt seen my name at california website, im so anxious already, my computer stop at 75, i was hopin to know the result as soon as possible

Hey batibot, let me know if you see anything, i took the test july 12, 3pm and checked keep on checking the website, still no records found under my name. let me know, i'm from CA
