Ok, I took it yesterday. I am slightly annoyed as I studied my tush off for MONTHS, and I got 3 med questions, not a lot on disease processes, NOTHING on pregnancy and i got a a TON of those "alternate format" questions. Mostly the "select all that apply". Needless to say it shut off at 85 and I honestly have no clue how I did. they all seemed difficult, they never had the answer that sets off the lightbulb in your head. Not at all what I expected. I am going to guess that with Christmas Day encroaching on my 48 hour period, that I won't get online results until Friday the 26th. Who knows.....I am just freaking because I can't even guess at a pass or fail. Anyone else have that problem?

Remember that 80% of people pass the test the first time taking it. I just re-took mine after failing the first time with 205 questions. This time I had many select ones that apply questions and many triage questions. I to felt like I didn't pass and it shut off at 85 this time. and I PASSED! :) Believe what people say as to the 85 questions..you would have to get more than half wrong for it to turn off! and for it to not even give you the option of answering the rest! I bet that you passed! Congrats! its an amazing xmas gift!

Ok, stress over, I PASSED!:D

MERRY CHRISTMAS, Ms GPN!

I misread the instructions on my first exam and thought I was still in tutorial until it was to late. I failed with 205 questions. I was so discouraged and tired of school that I waited a whole year b4 taking it again and this time it cut off at 85 with a question I know I answered incorrectly. I just knew I failed and told all my friends and family that I failed but this time I wasn't discouraged and planned on taking it again in 45 days. I was so sure that I failed that I refused to pay the $7.95 to get my unofficial results. Several days later because of boredom I paid the money and surprise, surprise, I passed. :balloons: I was in such shock that I went on line again just to see if I misread the results. Anyhow, I got a job right away and will begin working on Monday. :yeah::yeah::yeah:

I used Saunders review Book, Additional question book and Saunders Flashcards. I bought the Kaplan book, and it helped me to understand what I was walking to. I finished nursing school in 1997, so I had A LOT of studying to do. I read the book first, and then it was questions, questions, questions for a month. You can do it! Just study.....and stay calm! Plus my mom says eat peppermint before a test, it stimulates your brain. I ate a ton of Altoids in the hall before my test!

How did you find a job so fast? There don't seem to be ANY LPN positions up here in Seattle. It's making me insane! Where did you look to find the jobs you applied to?

OK! I forgot to say CONGRATS on passing! What a great way to start the NEW YEAR!:p:bugeyes::beer:
