Nclex-pn exam with 205 questions!

Published

Hello Everyone! =)

So, I finally took my NCLEX-PN yesterday and maxed out with 205 questions!!!

I couldn't believe it. At first, I was hoping for 85 questions, but as soon as it passed that number, I just kept going and going! I was getting questions from all different subjects and areas! It was crazy. I had A LOT of SATA, priority, teaching/reinforcing, a bunch of pharm but only 3 calculation questions. On the pharm questions, a lot of them, I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT!... and must have gotten questions from every subject possible, LOL. My worst enemies are Med-Surg and Pharmacology. It's a lot to remember! With 205 questions tho, I honestly can't tell you if I feel like I've passed or failed. I'm kind of in between right now. I feel like I got more questions right than I got wrong. I was told that they also look at how long it took you to answer each question. I would believe that it is all based on whether you got a correct answer or incorrect answer. As far as I'm concerned, from what I've read in the Saunders 4th Edition book, because that's where I studied from....they don't score 25 questions out of the total that you had. Is that true? Would that mean that out of 205 questions, they would only score you on 180 questions then? I'm so confused about that.

I've read a lot of posts on here about how many ppl have passed with 85 questions or 205 questions and in between. It honestly doesn't matter how many you answered. It's the certain level of questions you got and how many of them you answered correctly. It all depends on you! I feel like I got a lot more ANALYSIS based questions than APPLICATION ones.

THE TERRIBLE PART IS, I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA! UGH!!! Now I have to wait a month or more to get results back! I had a friend who took it on February 24th and she has to wait for another week to get it and it's already been a month! It's kind of making me sick to my stomach. I can't tell you that I came out of the test center crying or sick....but after thinking about it for the past day here, it's been driving me crazy because even if I didn't pass....I just want to know NOWWWWWWWW lol...that's what's making it worse! GOSH, I hope CALIFORNIA gets their act together and makes it possible for us to someday be able to view our results in 2-3 days just like other states! WHAT IN THE WORLD IS UP WITH THAT?! lolol

Anyway, I'm hoping for the best! HOPEFULLY I PASSED WITH 205 QUESTIONS!

:)

Wishing you good luck!

Leahreview84 did you have any ?'s pop up that u studied from saunders i take my test next friday

goodstudentnowRN: No, I didn't try the trick. I don't think it works in California, or is that a completely different thing in general???...I don't even know if I want to find out that way if I passed or failed lol...

godsgift2: I'm not quite sure. Let me tell you tho, Saunders is very helpful, even tho it seems a lot easier to study from than say, Kaplan or Lillipcott. I would study from Saunders in sections. I would try this website:

http://legacy.southeast.kctcs.edu/nclexpn3000/mainMenu.do;jsessionid=D4CE54D52E3B2C9AB85E246B187DFA57

I studied from there for a while and it was kinda slow at times, but I think it had to do with a lot of web traffic or the servers just being slow...

When I took mine in Feb I wasn't sure what to think either, but I did end up passing. The trick didn't work for me though because it kept saying your results are not in yet or something like that. Good luck to you though and I hope it all works out!

WOW, so I did the Pearson Vue Trick....and it took me all the way to the CC page. I forgot that it has nothing to do with the Quick Results. Right now, I'm trying to get over the fact that I pretty much failed. I don't want to believe it, but it's better for me to get over it right now. I know what I need to study, but it sucks because I have to take it over again. I think I'm happier that I found out sooner because I can be prepared for it a lot better when it comes to the time of rescheduling it and getting my ATT again. I won't feel like I'm feeling now. Honestly, there is nothing better than getting your actual results in the mail, but its good to know now.

Ugh, so sad =(

The Pearson Vue Trick is tried and true but there are some exceptions to the rule. My boyfriend took his NCLEX way before me and I knew about this trick. He felt terrible after he took his NCLEX he had 176 questions on the RN exam. Do you know he tried the trick not knowing what it was I just told him to do it and it took him to the page you were on where you can put in the credit card info. I was thinking to myself oh no, oh no. Later on we found out that he had passed.

so what is the "pearson view trick"??

So you are saying that he tried to register for the test again and he ended up on the Credit Card Payment Page??? He did not get a pop up like everyone else does if they pass? So he ended up on the CC Page and he still passed? WOW interesting...

I mean that's just weird because this Pearson Trick is so accurate...wondering how that happened!...
