NCLEX 2014/Kaplan

Published

Hey everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for those taking NCLEX soon, whether this summer or simply sometime this year. I'm actually taking mine within the upcoming week!

**activate panic mode now** :nailbiting: haha

I want us to be able to share tips, what we found helpful, what didn't work, and of course once we pass!

I took the Kaplan course and also found it helpful when people shared their scores, so I could relate and feel just as confident in their success. (What else is this website for, but help and comfort during chaos!)

So, my scores have been as follows:

Q bank: 100% complete at 64%

Q Trainer 5: 66

Q Trainer 6: 60

Q Trainer 7: 63

Readiness test: 64

(I did all the q trainers, but the beginning ones multiply times after a month or so, thus scores aren't completely true?)

How is everyone else doing!?

Best of luck; we're almost to finish line!

The goal is 65, why would your scores not be promising?

The goal is 65, why would your scores not be promising?

Exactly what I was thinking!

Sent from my iPhone using allnurses

Because shouldn't I be seeing improvement after reading over the book? I can't seem to see an increase in my score :-/

You dont need a increase, you're already where you need to be. If you got a 68 on QT 7, I dont see what the problem is.

Specializes in LTC, Rehab.
We were required to do Virtual ATI which is essentially just going through each module (pharm, mental health, fundamentals, med-surg, etc.) study each area and take assessments at the end. We have to get above 60% on each assessment. After each module is complete, we take the Final Comp Predictor and must get above 92% chance of passing in order to obtain the 'green light' to take the NCLEX. We took a different ATI Final Comp Predictor when we graduated and I scored at 90%. After completing all of the modules we took a different comp predictor (than the one we took upon graduation) and I scored lower (86%). It might just be me but I can't put all of my trust into ATI. Their test bank isn't big enough and I find it hard to believe that my score would actually GO DOWN after going through all of the modules and studying like crazy. I'm sure with a 99% pass rate you will pass with flying colors! We can and WILL pass this NCLEX beast!

When do you take your NCLEX test? I take mine next week. I am also doing ATI. I wish we could go in on the cost of Kaplan questions. It's so expensive!

Just finished QT #6 and got a 64. Im happy with that. One more QT left before exam on friday. God my head hurts. LOL

I'm so nervous!! I take mine July 3rd!! I think I'll have a mild heart attack that morning. I'm taking mine at 8 am. Here are my scores for Kaplan.

Q7: taking Tuesday

what do you guys think?

I completed Hurst review followed by 90% of Qbank with a score of 58%. Passed NCLEX this week with 75 questions.

So my with my Qbank 100% done I'm at 64% and Q7 which I took today was at 68.3% and I test the beginning of this week....those scores are not promising :-/ advice or anything?

Here is what I found. With a 68% that puts you on 99.3% probability of passing.

Ahh I hope that's right. I got the good popup today but I'm not believing the trick. I want to see the official results. Most painful 48 hours of my life. >.
