NCLEX 2014/Kaplan

Published

Hey everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for those taking NCLEX soon, whether this summer or simply sometime this year. I'm actually taking mine within the upcoming week!

**activate panic mode now** :nailbiting: haha

I want us to be able to share tips, what we found helpful, what didn't work, and of course once we pass!

I took the Kaplan course and also found it helpful when people shared their scores, so I could relate and feel just as confident in their success. (What else is this website for, but help and comfort during chaos!)

So, my scores have been as follows:

Q bank: 100% complete at 64%

Q Trainer 5: 66

Q Trainer 6: 60

Q Trainer 7: 63

Readiness test: 64

(I did all the q trainers, but the beginning ones multiply times after a month or so, thus scores aren't completely true?)

How is everyone else doing!?

Best of luck; we're almost to finish line!

Glad we could help good luck to you!

What is the Peason Vue "good"pop up trick I keep seeing everyone mention?

When I take my test I will try to register again. If it lets me register I failed. If it doesn't let me register I've passed... I know students who've passed and failed and so far it's 100% accurate...

I'm so afraid to get a ton of SaTA... My friend said she had about 40! That's crazy!!

Eh I had more SATA than regular questions and trust me they aren't that bad. Every SATA was a topic I had seen in Kaplan at one point or another.

I agree the SATA questions are way easier then Kaplans!

Thank you! My friends were saying they were horrific I'm like ***- they want us to fail... I have yet to meet a person who loves SATA lol.. I'm hearing so many bad things... Ugh, I just can't wait until tmrw!!

Good, sigh of relief.. Today I'm just relaxing... Working out twice and hydrating well..

I think this thread is a great idea! Here are my scores so far:

Diagnostic: 68%

Q1: 53%

Q2: 64%

Q3: 58%

Q4: 63%

Q5: 61%

Q6 & Q7: Saving before I take NCLEX

Readiness: 75%

Q bank: 24% completed at 63%

I'm only on my second week of studying so that's why the Q bank is only at 24%. I'm doing the 5 week study plan because I have no testing date (which makes it really hard for me to study).

I have a question for everyone about how/what you do to study. Right now I answer the Q bank questions and read all the rationales. After that I look up what I didn't know from the test and then I stop studying. Are there other things I could be doing? I feel like I need some guidance on how to use my studying time wisely. My anxiety is through the roof right now because I feel like I'm not doing enough. HELP!!!
