nclex was easy!!!!!!

Published

hi every one here ,i love this website, this is my story am international nurse , graduated 5 years ago, mother of 1 year old and pregnant 8 months. i took my nclex on 29th of march, i felt that the exam was very easy and i was sure i passed, 36 hours later checked mn board of nursing to find out that i passed. i studied saunders, la charity book, and finished hurst review online 2 months before my exam. i concentrated on knowing the content more than doing questions, and it paid off. any way this is my advice for future test takers, study your content first then practise how to answer nclex style questions. from my experience, the questions were very clear , and direct and i did practise for only 1500 questions. i had select all that apply 25 questions, infection control, no drug calculation, no maternity ,one pediatric, some drugs that i didnot know abut, and my test shut off at 75 question. iam happy am done with it so i will be able to enjoy my new born baby. i want to praise hurst review, i think without it , i couldont passed. wish good luck for every one.:yeah:

EXACTLY...Shut down at 85 with lots of prioritization/delegation. Once you know the content so easy to choose the best answer..

thanks every body.:redbeathe

I agree with what you said. NCLEX is in fact easy if you know the content. It's not always advisable should you answer a lot of questions without knowing the content..I took my exam last march 25 and 2 days after I found out I passed. I studied Saunders book only. I had 7 satas, 3 OB, 3 pyschia, no calcul.

Thanks for the advice, I'm taking it for the third time at the end of may or first week in june. I have the saunders and I"m going to get that Lacharity book also. I think you are right important to know the content....

I had no ob (because of this i was sure I failed, BTW) 1 peds the rest were common disorders and a few prioritization; and quite a few drug, which were easy if you knew your (common and dangerous) labs, I used saunders review and mosbey prioritization// delegation questions, i was scoring 16-18 out of 20 on the saunders and got 65% on the mosbeys, which was the most helpful book. I passed at 75 or 76 q's(I can't remember because I was so shell shocked) Good luck!!!!

guys...i just took the exam last march 31... i really can't get over the exam...how long will it take to get the result.... i also got 75 questions but it seems i know nothing......

CONGRATULATIONS edenprairie12:hpygrp: soo happy for you!!!

I will have my test 1st of june and its been very comforting to read that you guys used Saunders and focused on the contents, rather than only doing questions, as I heard many only did questions, I agree how can you answer the questions if you dont know the content lol:) My area of weakness is Pharmacology, I was thinking of ordering "NCLEX RN Kaplan: medications you need to know for the exam 2008/2009", or does anyone suggest any better book for the exam? All help would be deeply appreciated!!!

Thanks to everybody for taking their time and effort in posting on this forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):)
