Took the test today with 80 questions!!!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

So I took my NCLEX RN today and stoped at 80 questions. I know they say not to freak out based on the number of questions you got but I have not heard of anyone getting 80 questions. I have heard like either 75 or 265. I felt like I was guessing the whole time. There were a ton of priority questions, and I felt like I was guessing at those too. Anyone else in the same boat as me? :crying2::crying2::crying2:

We have had lots of different numbers and you can pass with any. That is all it is a number. Good luck

I took the exam last 7 in the afternoon for nclex rn here in cali . I have a ssn but still did not see my name on the net. I had lots of prioritization with labs and I stopped with prioritization too.4-5 sata and some question that I have to look up the vital signs and patients condtion on the other window first. I dont know what do you call that.... anyway I am losing hope , all the people I know who received the result on the net failed.

I took it in PA. But all exams are from the same test pool.

I had the dreaded 75 questions.... The exam had a lot of prioritization. It started off pretty good. I knew the answers...Then near the middle, the questions seemed to be getting harder. I really had to think. They stayed hard for a good while, so I thought I was doing really bad, then they got easier at the end... I prayed for at least 76 questions, but only got 75 ad like only 1 diff question type!. I was sure I'd failed...Two days later I saw I had passed!!!

You just never know.. Anyone can fail at any number, and anyone can pass at any number. Just try and think positive. Oh and try not to check your BON website too often, it just frazzles you more.

:smiletea2:

Crossing my fingers for ya!

I took the test today and it shut off at 89 questions...I felt like I was guessing aswell, but i knew some stuff aswell. I m just so nervous. anyone passed/failed with 89 questions? I know it's all different.

Ok...at the risk of souding mean... If it has been stated several times that you can pass or fail at 75 and 265 quesions. And it's been stated that you can pass or fail at any number of questions in between.....AND you're still asking.....maybe you're one who may have failed.....

Sorry, but one can only repeat info for so long. If the answer is yes at 75,265,80,etc...then WHY NOT at 89. It's very logical.

Wow that is really mean. Some people are just really freakin out b/c this is such a big test, and causes a lot of people anxiety. They come to this site looking for support and kind words. If you don't have anything nice to say then maybe you shouldn't say it at all....

ok....so if you read like 4 posts up from yours...you'll see my nice and supportive post for the original poster as well as others. I've also posted similar "nice" posts on other NCLEX forums...I know that people are anxious, but for real. You can only say it so many times. If someone just asked and got an answer...IDK what else to tell you...

I mean we are required to use critical thinking, logic, and to deduce all day long in our professions. It's as simple as that.

ok I see ya there. My bad. Please accept my apology. Guess I got a little defensive. I myself am just having a panic attack...

Think about it this way.....remember when you were anxious because you were applying to nursing school and wanted to know you would be accepted? The pre-nursing forum is full of "is my GPA good enough?", "I am applying to XYZCC and they are saying min points is 189 but I know someone who was accepted at 186....should I apply (or will I be accepted) with 177? [or the opposite side - 220?]????

Everyone is nervous and no one knows. We want someone who will reassure us.....and be right that we passed (or were accepted).

Go to a book store....find the cheeziest romance novel you can find with 1000+ pages...start reading. Not only will it take your mind off the NCLEX, Your score will be in by the time you are done reading! :D:heartbeat

I took mine this morning and it stopped at 80 something, I was just concentrating on answering questions and all of the sudden the screen went blue and I thought to myself, oh my gosh... it stopped, the last number I saw was 83. I have no idea what to think, I had about 5 SATA, lots of teaching, assessments, some pharms about diet and adv effects, priority questions, no calculations ( I heard it's good if you don't get calculations), diseases and what to look for, lab values and what to consider, who would I see or assess first. It took me about 2.5 hours but I took 2 breaks because Im 7 months pregnant and needed to pee. :D

Im so nervous and I really hope we all pass, this test is so hard to predict. I felt that most of the questions were not so hard this time around (3rd for me ) and I knew most of the questions but I could be wrong. I'm not sure that was a good sign feeling that the questions were easy. I hope I studied enough to pass.

Well, we will see in about 24-48 hours for result. GOOD LUCK to all of us waiting for the results. :wshgrt:
