NCLEX Stopped at 75!!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took the the NCLEX RN in 75 questions on May 12 2008 and still waiting for my results to either show up on BRN website indicating I passed or by mail and fail. It has been 8 business days since and no results. My classmates that all had their CPU stop at 75 passed and had their RN license posted within 3-4 business days. In fact, all of my classmates with differing numbers of questions all had their RN within 3-4 days. Im passed flipped out and contemplating on starting to study again preparing for failure. Please someone help me:banghead::banghead:

Stay calm and keep the faith !!

If your test stopped at 75 questions, one of two things occured: either you did so well that the system "knew" you were above the minimum passing standard, or you did so poorly that it "knew" that no matter HOW many questions it gave you, you could never expect to pass.

Which do you really think more likely? That you did SO badly that even if it gave you the entire 265 questions it 'knew' you would fail? Or, MUCH more likely, that you aced the thing? :)

I don't know what state you live in but when I took the NCLEX (as well as everyone in my class that has taken it so far) we waited 24 hours after and called the BON and asked for our license number. In 48 hours it's posted on the BON website. They ask for your SS# and they'll give you the number as long as you passed.

As above poster said; you either did VERY well, or VERY poorly. You should have been able to tell before:heartbeat you walked out if you tested poorly...

I agree with the above posters!!! We spend far too much time stressing over "what ifs" in life. Just relax and breathe! When I left the testing center I knew in my gut I passed, but would not let my brain believe it until I saw my name and license # online... Go with your gut! Good luck to you... and keep us posted!

Moving this thread to the NCLEX Forum where it is more appropriate. And then closing it since you have already one there with the same question asked.
