i have a very important msg:

for all u guys that have tested (nclex-pn) 3 times or more. and have recently tested (nclex-pn test changed april 2011 new test higher standards). if u recently taken the test and this isnt ur first time taking it please tell me what books u suguest i study or get? and what do u feel u did differnt this time u passed?

you guys if ur not in my shoes please help me and if u are too. i feel that i studied that i was prepared when i walked out the testing room (with my 150 ?'s btw) i felt confident!!!! why? idk..... :( and and look what happen all my classmates are working as lpns now all! and look at me still a cna (i only say it b/c i work hard and ppl treat me like garbage). i realy really really really do want to pass. i think to myself i went to nursing school i graduated! for gods sake......this time i told myself i 'm not gonna do what i did last time which was wait til i tested nope this time i'm back on track and if u have feedback highy appreciated!

Take three days off and relax. You owe it to yourself. Then come back and follow your plan to take it again. You will pass as long as you do not give up. Others have done it with multiple attempts, and so can you. Good luck.

Just be reading your post am I correct in that english is not your primary language? Maybe your knowledge is fine and you are encountering a language barrier?

Have you gone to any test anxiety workshops?

i can honestly say no english (language) is not a barrier i been here in the states since i was 5! i understand everything i mean is just that i dont kno where to start agian. also what i learned from the nclex is that for the test u cant really study but u can prepare for it. i kno thiers good reviews out there i just need feedback.

caliotter3: well at least ur positive! thanks! i appreciate it and yes i will keep my head high b/c i will get this sooner or later but i will :) and if it means taking it more then once i will!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes many people have taken it multiple times, and passed. You can too. Is a refresher course an option? I took the NCLEX-PN a long time ago, but then Saunders and Lippincott was the way to go. Dont worry about old classmates that have passed, because that is only making you sadder, just focus on the goal ahead. Like you said you have to practice test taking, you must have the knowledge behind it but you must also understand how these tests work. I would visit the PearsonVue site and see if there is any information there that could help you, I would also practice a lot of questions everyday and also read a subject/two everyday. Keep your eye on the prize. Maybe the school you graduated from can help. Just keep trying. MUCH LUCK TO YOU!

Don't you receive a report when you fail the nclex that tells you how you did in each section. Are you able to pinpoint your weak areas and work on those?

I think the esl reference was due to your use of text speak. Which works well on a phone/twitter but comes off as uneducated on a message board.

Regardless, good luck.

thanks Mekbizz and i tried Lipincott did not help that was my 1st book actually lol

Take review course, where do u live?

Here's the book I that I used on NCLEX-RN

1. Saunder's NCLEX-RN Exam 4th Edition

2. La Charity Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment.

3. Kaplan NCLEX-RN Strategies Practice and Review.

4. Lippincott's NCLEX RN Alternate Format Questions

5. Lippincott's Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN

Don't give up. You wouldn't be able to attain anything if you quit. We believe that you could do it. It is depressing but you could take a break from the studying for a week maybe to relax and all and when you're all relaxed you could start studying again. Stress is a big hindrance in studying so relax. Remember it's always dark before the sunrise. :)

Thanks guys for all ur support and reaching out.

Guys thanks a lot and i just have to keep going!!!!!

I heard that Exam cram what do u guys think?

Do you have a favorite instructor that you can talk to? Perhaps that person could give you some help. Look for a review course in your area and take it. If you are so inclined...pray and ask God for help as well. Best of luck to you

now that u mention it i was thinking o doing that but then idk what do u think?
