NCLEX application in NY for NON-US applicants.

I am a nurse here in the Philippines and it is my first time to apply for a licensure at New York State. I'm processing my CGFNS Credential Verification for New York State (CVS) online, but I haven't completed it yet. I just wanna make sure if I'm doing the right thing. Is there anyone here who can help me or give me information on the step by step process of applying for a license in NY state, from CGFNS up to application at the NY State Education Department (NYSED). I am doing the process on my own and just basing it from what I read from the site and the other blogs here, but I'm still confused. Can someone help me on this? One who had undergone the same process before. Thanks!

After 8 months of waiting, CGFNS finally sent my CVS report to NYSED. I received an email from NYSED, informing me that they already received my documents and evaluation time takes about 6-8 weeks. I pray for positive outcome. God bless us.

hi guys im about to start applying for NCLEX-NY state and i know it has to do with CGFNS and CVS right? i will pass my application in their post office and i'll pay the fee via online and what's next???? what's with the Child abuse and infection control training do i have to complete that or is there other way like the exempting me and filing the exemption form. thankyou

Why exempt from doing the online courses? they are not expensive and easily done online.

For the applicants who went through CVS, how long does it take for CGFNS to evaluate the papers? I read in this thread that it took 8 months. Is it the same for everyone? Shorter than 8?
