NCC Spring 2021 NASSAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Hi Everyone, I am a Liberal Arts student at NCC right now and interested in "Change of Program" to Nursing for Spring 2021. I have almost all the Pre-reqs done with 3.7 GPA. Only thing I worry about at this moment is the TEAS Exam. I did not take the TEAS yet and due to the COVID-19, there's no any test date available in my area. Do you guys know if they would consider my application without the TEAS? Please let me know if you know anything about this situation. Thank you

I hope this isn’t the case! Admissions told me to wait until after the holidays to hear back. So odd...

Exactly! & they said it was sent to our personal emails? We got the e-mail @ our NCC e-mail. Don’t give up hope! & if you do not get in this semester — keep pushing towards your dreams! I applied the past two semesters & didn’t get in because I didn’t have enough pre reqs. The applicant pool changes every semester. Do not give up!!

Thanks. I completed all except Bio medical ethics and pathophysiology. And I didn’t receive an email. And all my grades were As or Bs 

75% on TEAS. 
 

I guess I wasn’t qualified enough, IDK it’s just hard to tell how they make decisions. Also I diff did not repeat A&P1 or got a W. On the nursing seminar they said if you repeated or got a W in A&P 1 more than twice you ineligible.

I emailed them at 3:08pm today and they emailed me back pretty fast. I really hope this is not the case and they are still sending out acceptances. I think with all the waiting has me feeling helpless.

Thank you! I am trying to remain hopeful. That email just didn't sit well with me for some reason. This whole waiting game has me a nervous wreck LOL.

I don't plan on giving up! I am still waiting on other schools, however nassau was the most beneficial for me financially wise.

So I just got my denial letter thru ncc email. They said they had no more seats. I'm feeling really down esp because I killed the TEAS with an 87 all together. I'm just at a loss at this point. God bless yall that got in and good luck

Going with what people mentioned earlier, admissions/nursing department has communication probs. Everyone has received a different email from admissions. ugh

Congratulations to everyone who got a email yesterday. 
 

I also applied to NCC didn’t receive an email. I have all my pre reqs Beside patho & the history class. My GPA is a 3.2 and my TEAS I scored a 75%. 
 

I did get accepted into a school called St. Paul’s they have an accelerated nursing program 18 months straight through. I also got accepted into another school called Monroe. I really wanted to get into NCC because that’s where I been going since I got out of HS. Also because of the cost. I guess if I don’t get accepted into NCC. I’ll have to make a decision on which school I should attend. I’m nervous honestly.

you got an 87 on your TEAS and they didn't let you in? Jesus... I'm sorry. If I get the denial, which I'm expecting at this point, I'm signed up at Suffolk to take the last of the pre requs and then will try once more for the Fall of 2021 for both suffolk and nassau.

I took all the prerequisites, I’m thinking maybe they are looking to see you completed all prerequisites more then the TEAS score ? Not sure myself how they are looking at candidates
