Hi Everyone, I am a Liberal Arts student at NCC right now and interested in "Change of Program" to Nursing for Spring 2021. I have almost all the Pre-reqs done with 3.7 GPA. Only thing I worry about at this moment is the TEAS Exam. I did not take the TEAS yet and due to the COVID-19, there's no any test date available in my area. Do you guys know if they would consider my application without the TEAS? Please let me know if you know anything about this situation. Thank you
I hope to make you all feel better — I’ve read multiple forums from past semesters stating that there has always been a lack of communication between admissions & the nursing department. I believe that the admission department didn’t sent out approvals yet. Also— I’ve applied in the past and I got my denial letter last semester the same time everyone else got their approvals. So I don’t think they are done yet! Stay hopeful!

How about everyone else?
Can you or anyone clarify how the points are calculated?
The point guide...
Take your classes completed so far and calculate the following based on your grade:
A= 4.0
B+= 3.5
B= 3.0
C+=2.5
C= 2.0
Then look at each *subject* of your TEAS... They don't look at overall score.
If you scored 58.7-80%, thats 5 points.
81-90%, thats 10 points.
91-100% thats 15 points.
BUT... past discussions on here seem torn on whether or not the science part is counted so make of that what you will.
Lastly.. If you're a nassau resident, you get 10 points. If you never been in a nursing program before thats 5 points.
For me I counted 152-157, because I don't know if science is counted or not

So it’s safe to assume that if a student didn’t receive an acceptance email yesterday we are waiting on rejection emails! Oh dear! It is what it is. I give up and move forward. What I don’t understand is they colleges and hospitals work together to play these monopoly games; yet you hear nationwide nurse shortages! Well if that they issue then open up more seats or change the system! Smh this is all about money and hierarchy nonsense
Oh my congrats and well wishes throughout the entire process. You on the road to becoming a nurse and you will do it. All of you who got accepted will. ?
