NCC Spring 2021 NASSAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Hi Everyone, I am a Liberal Arts student at NCC right now and interested in "Change of Program" to Nursing for Spring 2021. I have almost all the Pre-reqs done with 3.7 GPA. Only thing I worry about at this moment is the TEAS Exam. I did not take the TEAS yet and due to the COVID-19, there's no any test date available in my area. Do you guys know if they would consider my application without the TEAS? Please let me know if you know anything about this situation. Thank you

I just called admissions. The woman said my application is still pending.. weird! But I guess that’s better than a no. She said to expect a response after the holidays.

In the past decisions went out more then one day. at least 3 so theres still hope. It's just nerve racking. Because there are students who will decline their offers, which leads to more seats.

I Just called, she asked for my Id and said  it was complete/ready.. no answer or whether I was admitted or not but she said when it says that it means I am not rejected yet. If that makes any sense. Keep waiting ughhhhhh

I applied through admissions  - I think a lot of the people still waiting applied through admissions?

Well guys... take this with a grain of salt because there does seem to be lack of communication between nursing/admissions. But I did reach out to someone in admissions via email who I had worked with to ensure my application was complete. She just responded to me

 

"Acceptance notifications were sent out yesterday from the Nursing Department to students' personal email accounts to those students who have been accepted. "

This is very sad. Also there seems to be a disconnect between admissions and nursing dept. I believe admission told someone in the chat that the decisions will be sent out after holiday, then last night several students received approval emails. The question is, were those all the acceptance notices? And will the denials go out soon?

are they still working to send out approval emails? I’m not sure what to think anymore. I was hoping to have receive my email this AM, however as of noon today I didn’t receive any notifications via NCC email or my personal email. The suspense is not a pleasant feeling at this point. 
I don’t know if they send out approvals emails first and then denials? Or both simultaneously. Having to ponder these questions is driving me nuts.

I got the same email. But then theres no decision in my file someone from admissions said. It would of said acceptance or not so its pending. But im not sure how to feel about what admissions said because there are students who will decline the offer.

I asked when rejection/waitlist emails get sent and she said "next week." LOL what a joke

I just got my acceptance at 12:40 via email, so there is still hope guys!
