Hi Everyone :)

Just wanted to start a thread for everyone that's applied to the Navarro College ADN-RN program starting Fall 2012.

Figured we needed a place to post, ask each other questions etc. while waiting on our acceptance letters..... I was told they won't be sent out until the end of May. Has anyone else heard otherwise?

Hey mum! :) It went well. Mrs. ___________ and the director, Mrs. ____________ were the only ones there. :p The only instructors we saw were in pictures on the wall. I think it will be a neat experience...but it'll take time to get the intricate schedule and such down perfectly.

We start on August 27. We got the calendar for August and September today, probably get the rest of the semester on the first day. The schedule is just really condensed...once I get used to the format and understand what everything means, I'll be good to go. I'm a very scheduled person, so once I fall into the pattern I'll be happy. :D

I didn't get to officially meet you guys, but I was sitting directly in front of y'all on the second to last row. It was definitely interesting to say the least and we got a few of our questions answered. I'm definitely ready for class now, so let the countdown begin!

Hi guys!!!! I looked for everyone but Tim!!!!!!!! I was looking for someone wearing black scrub pants!!! Other than the drug test that took quiet a bit of time, everything went great! I was wearing a red dress so if you saw me, maybe we will recognize each other next time:D

@mrskennedy: NO WAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! I had my eyes peeled for everyone. hahaha Can't believe I missed you and you were right there! Whenever I got in and sat down, I started looking around for our crew. Trying to find you all (60+ girls...and all I could see was the back of your heads) was hopeless.

@Shalynn: LOL!!!!!!!!!! :lol2: I changed my mind and just wore jeans...couldn't for the life of me decide what shirt and hoodie went with the scrub pants. :p It would've been impossible to find me, considering that the picture on the wall said "PAUL". xD

HAHAHA Red, if that was shalynn, you were talking to her! :) I don't know about you, but this is all so fun! Kinda like a game trying to find everyone. :D

I was sitting on second to last row also (black shirt and glasses- if that rings any bells).

I cant decide if I want to get the pageburst books for my computer so I dont have to haul the actual textbooks I have to school, because I already bought my books online.

I was sitting in the front row to the left with the Steelers shirt and jeans on. Since I was in front next to Kryssal I could really look for anyone.

Tim did I see u coming in yesterday morn? I was looking for scrub bottoms too!

Shalynn I saw you didn't know that was you though. I really wanted to wear dress lol but did t wanna be cold, I hate wear jeans!

I was really relieved with the schedule too! I think it will be much easier schedule than I expected! But ready to start to get in the groove of things!

I got my books from a friend but I'm thinking about buying ebooks, seems pretty cool! I would save a lot of time, but.... Not sure I can learn as much not writing out notes. I'm more of a visual learner, I always do notecards. But well see.

Hope to meet u all the first day, it will be her before we know it!!! :) Have some fun the rest of y'all summer! :)))

TIM, I was looking for scrub pants too. That's too funny. I had on a TCU shirt, not sure which row I was on?? Red, do you have red hair? Lol. Pretty sure I saw you, but we weren't on the same side for the drug test. :)

Makey- I can't recall a black shir n glasses... Hmmm? Adb- yes, I have red hair LoL I was wearing a black hoodie and jeans. (no hoodie for drug test tho ;) RaeAnn- Im considering selling the 8 books I have that come in the eBook form- I keep looking at the HUGE stack of books (I think I have 17 or 18 total) and can't figure out how I would bring them all to class - must buy a wagon!!

Makey might have been the one that sat 2 rows directly in front of us? Mrs ______________ said we won't be using all of the books at all, just a select few...fundamentals and one or 2 others.

Since I took all of my classes but the science ones online, I kind of have a silly question. Do the instructors on campus let you use a laptop in class for taking notes and using the ebooks??? Because I was thinking that only having to transport my computer with ebooks would save my spine.
