U.S.A. Michigan

Has anyone ever heard of National Medical Academy based in Riverdale Ga. I live in Michigan and I've been hearing alot about this school I was told that they offered lpn certificates that only to took one year to complete. But that wasn't what sold me I was also told that the school offered LPN to Rn courses that only took 9 months to complete. Considering I'm already a Lpn I decided to check it out. I went to the school which is located in a church here in mich. I wasn't able to speak to anyone because you had to have an appt. So I basically want to know if any of my GA peaches can give me any insight on this school since its based out Ga. One more thing cash only is the method of payment they havent been approved to accept financial aid etc. Sounds to good to be true

You can call it fly by night nursing but it all comes from the heat. I have been dealing with paitents or residents in the medical field and know what it takes to care for a person. You need to stop and look deep within yourself and do what makes you happy remember the with the old saying that there are more than two ways to skin a cat. I will respond to anyone that has a problem when it comes to my eyes.

"Looking deep within myself and doing what makes me happy" has nothing to do with a nursing program being or not being accredited nor does "dealing with paitents or residents in the medical field and knowing what it takes to care for a person". And yes I am in an accredited nursing program.

My sister who is and LPN just like me called me and told me about this school. I just called the sate boards they said that the school is not accreditated and if I go there I would not be able to apply for the boards. (517-373-3740)

I live in baltimore maryland, I had about the school too,i than decided to go there and check it out,its on 322 north howard street baltiomre 21202 md,they said they are Assiociated national medical acdemcy but are bs.firstly the office looks like they can moved out when they have gotten all the money they could get from anxious ppl like us.i called the board of nursing in michigan bcos they said they are accredited with them, they told me they are scam,i then called deleware and texas with maryland board of nursing, they said we shd not waist our time, they already took 50 dollars from me that is all they will.I am writing out to you all bcos the economy is too tight to loose more than 50 dollars, pls word is enough 4 the wise

if you want to go to the school call the board pls, i live in baltimore and i have called the board of nursing in maryland ,deleware, vigina.texas, michigan all i heard was they are all scam both assiocated national medical acc and national medical acc, these ppl are ripe off,

pls if u are in baltimore and u paid more than 300 dollars call the board and call the local scam unit, pls they need to be stopped

I am new to this system. I wanted to add to the post on the School "national medical acedemy" I am from baltimore, MD. I wanted to do the LPN program with the new school that is offering the LPN program at 322 n. Howard st, baltimore md. This school is not for real, I check at least 4 of the compact states and non of the board of nursing heard of these jokers, If the board of nursing in the few compact states haven't heard about then how in the world are they sending your paper work to sit for the NCLEX exam? They are trying to take people money, they are not accredited, don't offer any financial aid or student loan options, now which school you know don't offer these simple few basic help.Folks do some digging these people are not for real. I spoke to one of the students she think its strange, they have a LPN nurse that have a Bachelor's degree in Biology teaching, the student told me the teacher had no clue how to teach, and mainly go over what may come in the exam. These people have to make a lot of us believers. If it sounds too good to be true then.......... the ball is in the courts I did my digging and lost $50. Don't plan on losing any more. Also they are calling thenself in Michigan national medical acedemy, in baltimore they are calling themself associated national medical acedemy, whats up with the name change? I am worried these people are ripping poor people of their hard earn money. we need to stop them. DE, Md,LA,and GA haven't heard of them along with MI. go figure

This message is for everyone who wants to try this school out....listen national medical academy is what's up if you want to be a nurse. I got mine, I went there, and a lot of my friends went there, too. So you can listen to these people on the blog if you want to. I'm good, and I know you will be good, too, if you decide to go there. You can't listen to someone who has never been there before. Everyone is different. What works for me might not work for for you.

what state are you in?

YES THATS WHAT THEY ARE DOWN HEAR IN MARYLAND TELLING US.THE DID SAY IT IS NOT APPROVED I CANT GET ANY ONE ON THE PHONE AT THE MARYLAND BOARD TO ASK THEM IF I GO TO THE SCHOOL WILL I BE ABLE TO TAKE THE BOARDS .ITS ALOT OF STUFF WITH THEM THE LITTLE I CAN FIND IS NOT THAT GOOD AND WHY THE NEVER IN THE OFFICE U ALWAYS CAN CATCH THEM ON THEIR CELL.THEY ALSO SAID THAT U ONLY GO TO CLASS TWO DAYS A WEEK I DONT THINK THATS ENOUGH MOST SCHOOLS ARE FOUR TO FIVE DAYS:down:

why sit in the office on a nice summer day when there's this great invention called "call-forwarding" and "cell phone".

I know for a fact that there are many schools that only meet twice a week. I personally don't have time to be in class everyday. Actually, HCC in Columbia, MD only meets 4 hours a week for lecture.

Ebenton 07..I have a few questions for u....What state r u from?...When did you graduate? When did u take your boards?..I really want to attend this program, I just want to be 100% sure that is is not a scam.Since the school only meets twice a week, it is totally convienent fo my work scheldule. Thanx..

I don't why they said that you can't take the michigan state board. I did and I have my RN and I graduated from national medical academy. We had a graduation ceremony with cap and gown.

what state r u in? when did u grauate?

Specializes in ICU/Critical Care.

Miss Rogers, if you go the the michigan government website, you will find that this "program" is not on the list of approved programs to even take the NCLEX. So you will just be wasting your cash on some shady program. Go elsewhere. Really, I wouldn't want a nurse from this program to care for my loved ones.
