Has anyone ever heard of National Medical Academy based in Riverdale Ga. I live in Michigan and I've been hearing alot about this school I was told that they offered lpn certificates that only to took one year to complete. But that wasn't what sold me I was also told that the school offered LPN to Rn courses that only took 9 months to complete. Considering I'm already a Lpn I decided to check it out. I went to the school which is located in a church here in mich. I wasn't able to speak to anyone because you had to have an appt. So I basically want to know if any of my GA peaches can give me any insight on this school since its based out Ga. One more thing cash only is the method of payment they havent been approved to accept financial aid etc. Sounds to good to be true
hello, ebenton07 i am not trying to discourage anyone from going to school, the only thing i am concerned with is someone taking peoples money and calling it a nursing school. they may have taken your money and put you in a classroom but personally i would have called the state just to verify the accreditation before forking over any money. i realize that most of us are desparate to get into a nursing program, this is why people should be aware of who and what they are paying for. if you are comfortable reading between the lines and listening to a sales pitch then more power to you, i personally would like to read the black and white print and have back up from the state. good luck in your program.
Big ReRe is either on staff at NMA or trying to convince his/herself that she has not been scammed. As I stated several times I've done the research she or any other graduate of that tutorial program is not licensed by the state of Michigan and therefore can't take their boards period Cape and gown and all
I think it is quite funny for those who have not entered a program to talk about those that have taken a step to reach their goal. I will make this nice and short I will have reached my goal as,but you will be looking on get to first base and I will have hit a home-run and work as a nurse. So if you want to talk do it after you get your RN and not before.
No I do not work for National Medical Academy and I have not been scammed. You may have done your research and that's good but I am just letting people know what I got out of the school. Everyone has their own mind and if they think the school is such a scam then move on to something else and don't dwell on it. One thing I know for sure is that I have my license and I am working as a nurse so good luck in your nursing career.
Wow harsh ebenton7 you need to take some ques from big ReRe she some to pleased with her accomplishmentsif ur satisfied with ur school then attend this blog when continuing for people who not satisfied with the info given for this tutorial program and until several people come along with new facts not thier heart it will eventually end. And as for me ( I hate I'm falling 4 this but here it goes) I'm actually enrolled at two schools accepted to 1 DHCC waiting on a start date and I have fulfilled all requirements at HFCC waiting on acceptance but everyones knows the wait at community colleges. So Im doing a little something besides looking at u in admiration. Unfortunately I have the tendency to b impatience that is why I'm still in search of intsant gratification but as usual that never pays off for me. I may not b a fly by night nurse but I will b someone families will intrust the care of the love ones to Now for real this is my last last blog on this subject

Hello, Big Re Re, how did you get around the accreditation part? When I called the BON they told me that this school is not accredited and its a scam. If you look at the list of approved nursing schools it is not on the list either. Did you have to go out of state to get your initial RN and then take your test for Michigan as well? I also was told that some of these fly by night schools are giving the class time and then paying another school with part of your tuition that is accredited in another state to show on paper that you that you graduated.
