Yeah i have a few friends already gave them 50$ dollars for application we went there saturday they said that the next class will start 26 of this month.i am just going to d.c. That where most ppl from maryland go for 12months

WELL TODAY I WENT TO THE MARYLAND NURSING BOARD TO CHECK OUT THE SCHOOL THEY SAID IF WE GO THEIR WE CANNOT TAKE THE BOARDS THE ARE DOING A HUGE INVESTERGATION ON THEM AND THEY ARE CALLING LAWYERS YES THIS IS A SCAM BUT I THINK WE KNEW THAT .THEY ARE TRYING TO GET THE WORD OUT SO PPL STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE PPLS MONEY AT A TIME LIKE THIS HOW SAD:down:

I really want more information on this school. Theres nothing on michigans approved programs list abt this school

It's nothing on the approved list bacause it's not approved but what Michigan list it has made is the not approved list under their afflilate name global university http://www.michigan.gov/documents/NonaccreditedSchools_78090_7.pdf I don't know If that link will work I found it on http://www.michigan.gov

National medical academy sounds like a load of B.S. to me. Stick with accreditted programs APPROVED by Michigan or NLNAC or Both.

My friend is going to the school tomorrow morning and I told her to drill them for information if anyone can do it she can . So when she comes back with her report I willl be sure to post anymore info. I agree with most ppl on this board ..I truly believe it's a scam. If so the only other LPN programs for those interested in LPN is Everest and the one I attended through the Detroit Care Health Care Career Center which is very hard to get into. I guess I'll just go ahead with Excelsior LPN to RN program if anyone knows of any other ones with a not so long waiting list pLease post . Thanks I wish everyone the best and always hold on to your dreams never give up because we need good nurses.

Hello jackyo I attended DHCC as well I was accepted into the LPN 4th cohort we recieved calls 2 days before the orientation saying the program lost funding and cohort 4 was being put on hold we r still on hold our start date was may 26 what a bummer I'm desparate which sent me to the National Medical Academy what a fraud I grilled them with no mercy but maybe your friend will get more info but no matter what it's still a scam

I would tell your friend to not even bother. Think about it. If you can't get a student loan via financial aide because of that school and it's not even accreditted by the state of michigan than its NOT FOR YOU OR ANYONE. IT's a scam. It's questionable. I wouldn't even waste time to go look for a place like that. If your friend is that desperate to get into nursing school and she thinks this program is ok, than she is a sucker.

I wrote this long reply and it was erased im so not a good typer...LOl I want to just let dirdar no to keep being persistant with DHCCC its worth it ..believe me the program is still continuing it just will be under another umbrella besides Oakland University rumors are it maybe st johns or focus hope..keep calling and making ur name known...Im now working for the DMC im getting excellent exp. and great benefits and I love interacting with the patients...my true love is with the elderly so im also dabbling there to..the pay is better at the nursing home but i wanted to keep my skills..I hope this motivates you not to give up ..just know that every job you apply to will be calling you back for an interview or a job offer..so be ready to hit the ground running...I wish all the best

Thanks for ur encouragement jackyo and yes it did help to motivate Me I was already staying in touch with DHCC but now I plan on increasing the in their face visits a little over half the class including myself have taken this issue to the city so we shall see if u don't mind keep me abreast on the rumor mill thanks again

I don't why they said that you can't take the michigan state board. I did and I have my RN and I graduated from national medical academy. We had a graduation ceremony with cap and gown.

I am a student at National Medical Academy and I heard all of the rumors surrounding the school. I pay out of pocket and I am doing just fine in the classed that I am taking. I was told as a kid growing up believe some of what you hear some of what you see and what you read. The big thing hears to put your head in the books read between the lines and follow your heart and as for the BS do what you need and You will do fine. Remember that those with bad attitudes like to spread venom on those that are making good with lemons.
