The higher up's finally realized that the nurse's often need massage therapy more than the patient! Thank God they finally made a right decision.

20 minutes of pure bliss....relaxing to the soft music of Enya while the MT works on my shoulders, neck, arms, back, and legs.

I can now go back to work on the floor without the nagging pain in my back from the turning and repositioning of the total care patients.

Cheers (cup of coffee)

A cup of coffee would be nice too! But then I would not be able to sleep when I get home. Oh well better just stick with the massage!

Heaven is having a RN co-worker who is also a certified massage therapist. :redbeathe:heartbeat

And where do your work? I must be in the wrong hospital:crying2:

I know I am at the wrong hospital. Administrators completely out of touch.

Specializes in LTC, Med-Surg, IMCU/Tele, HH/CM.

I got a coupon for a massage for my birthday, which I thought was nice. But that's the best I've gotten so far!

I realized that a little massage, even 5 minutes, will go a long way towards relaxing and refreshing overworked nurses.

However I can barely find time to use the bathroom @ work. Also see my post on not being allowed to have water!

Yes, plz tell us what kind of facility you work in. Know you can't name it

Wow.... I wish!!!

Specializes in NICU, ER, OR.

Is this a regular service they are going to provide, or was it a one time "treat"?

My hospital does this twice a year along wih a Reiki treatment.... but for it to be a regular ? OMG thats a seriously nice perk!!!

You know April 1 is not until Friday, right? This sounds like a dream come true. Can you get foot massages, too? wow
