I have read most of it and it has already put things into a different light for me and helped me get a little more organized.
Yeah, I really feel like the CA/CEs are not trying to throw anyone under the bus with wacked-out areas of care, or really difficult patients ... they keep it pretty simple! You just have to remember that they want you to be able to function as a first-day new grad, so it's basic assessments and basic management with a lot of hand hygiene and patient safety thrown in there. It's probably more difficult for those of you with a lot of LPN/LVN experience -- you have to dial it down a few notches and remember to do only what is assigned, and no more -- you are NOT this patient's primary nurse, you are there to test! :)
How do you find the time and energy to work 4 twelve hours shifts and write a journal? Glad you did it though. So many are very nervous regarding their CPNE. You are so right when you said the CA/CE are not there to fail you. They want you to pass. I see the CEs at work after they have had to fail someone, they are NOT happy about it. Thanks for taking the time to make a journal like that of your experiences.

I finally finished day 3 of my journal! Just got done working four 12's in a row, so there was a little delay between parts 2 and 3; I posted this document in 3 parts on the EPN. I'm posting this as a PDF file. Enjoy!!
