Hi everyone !!! After 5 years I finally decided to pick up where I left off. Time to apply for nursing school
Application period is July 1st - September 1st. I'm coming in with 54 points pre-HESI. Just wanted to wish anyone else out there applying to Mt. SAC good luck with the HESI tomorrow
I have yet to see a thread on this particular application period for Mt. SAC so I hope many more join this thread as we proceed with this tedious journey.
Really? That's odd, I have a total of 79 points, and they said I was ranked 76. I wonder what happened there? I was pretty much told for now I'm an alternate at this point.
@everykindofblue what !? That doesn't sound right at all. I have 79 and ranked 30 and mzmira I think had 77 and ranked 38. Something's not adding up. I would talk to someone asap !
Hello! Just found this post and wanted to connect with fellow students applying for Spring '16. I'm happy to say that I had my counselor appointment and I'm pretty much in. Mid November and early January cannot come soon enough!

Did they confirm your point total and your rank at your appointment? I would contact them ASAP before they send acceptance letters. Maybe it is just a mistake on their end. I saw this happen twice last year at a different school. Don't stay quiet!
Yeah, definitely call and ask. Maybe you were supposed to have 79 points but they didn't calculate it right or didn't get a transcript processed right which messed up your GPA. If they said you've 79 points then you should be a shoe in for acceptance.
Yea, I plan to see a counselor on Monday, hopefully I can do a walk in appt. still sad about the whole thing after everyone said they were pretty much in haha.
Yea I would def make an appt or email address the main point person which is the one whose last name rhymes with bark lol they erase real names on this site. I honestly think something isn't right. What I did notice is this process was new for a lot of counselors and maybe they didn't feel comfortable telling you how great your chances are.
If you really are 76th thats actually not that bad. This is my backup school anyway and I'm sure it is for a great handful of others. 15 people out of 60 would have to take another school and that sounds pretty reasonable. I highly doubt mt sac would have 60 alternates unless large numbers of students didn't consistently pick other schools.
