Hi everyone !!! After 5 years I finally decided to pick up where I left off. Time to apply for nursing school
Application period is July 1st - September 1st. I'm coming in with 54 points pre-HESI. Just wanted to wish anyone else out there applying to Mt. SAC good luck with the HESI tomorrow
I have yet to see a thread on this particular application period for Mt. SAC so I hope many more join this thread as we proceed with this tedious journey.
I was hesitant to post on this thread because I was an alternate last semester and didn't get in, but I just had my appointment and I am in! Couldn't be happier! Congrats to all of you, and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

Yea it's practically a week long and all day . Nursing school boot camp as some may call it. They basically tell you everything you need to know and lay it out like it is. Some may get cold feet and drop then, allowing alternates to get in.
@futuremurse My advisor told me it would most likely be January 11-14, but it could change because some students may be in class during that time for Winter intersession. I would hold off planning your vacation until we get the acceptance emails. That email will probably have the definitive dates.

Orientation is boring. It's basically everything you need to know before starting: school policies, some guest speakers, former student speakers, nursing club speakers, how-to's, what do to, what to expect. AFAIK, you can't miss any of the days AND you are there the entire time, I don't recall ever leaving early unfortunately on any of the days lol.
Ahhh you guys are my people I've been anxiously checking too since this is the week I have this feeling it will be Monday the 16th though! Hopefully sooner but let's keep posted. Whoever catches the first email let us know !
ps anyone else been trying to prepare for nursing school ? Everything on my Christmas wish list has to do with nursing supplies this profession has taken over my life !
