  1. Yea, I plan to see a counselor on Monday, hopefully I can do a walk in appt. still sad about the whole thing after everyone said they were pretty much in haha.
  2. Yea, I kinda feel dejected and flustered. Being upset and doing ochem homework are not good combinations, .
  3. Really? That's odd, I have a total of 79 points, and they said I was ranked 76. I wonder what happened there? I was pretty much told for now I'm an alternate at this point.
  4. I know we have said it so many times, but thanks barcode. Your experience is a welcomed fountain of knowledge.
  5. Arrowhead Regional would be a great hospital to do clinicals at, and the whole kaiser "internship" (haha, I love the irony of a hospital acting more business like, by trying to acquire free labor like major corp. do) sounds very beneficial, working for kaiser would be prime spots for a career. I agree with you yclario in the sense that I want a seasoned and dedicated nurse to mentor from. But beggars can't be choosers, and in this economy, all new grads are arms wide open at any opportunity.
  6. :roflmao:I laughed so hard when I saw this. I honestly think you and natalie should choose mtsac, they have great instructors and ranked highly for an ASN program. Im sure you ladies will be successful no matter what program you choose. Clinical site wise, LA county would be ideal for me, just for the sheer amount of experience. I don't know what sites RCC uses.
  7. I too am surprised the school didn't inform past students who were on the wait list about the change, but no complaints on my end, competition is already rough with all of you as candidates haha. As for cute uniforms being necessary, white is not very flattering on a chubby Asian man haha, plus it gets too dirty, my scrubs get dirty a lot, and it's like dark blue, and I still see stains .
  8. @yclario, since you already bought a mtsac shirt, is it for sure you're going to mtsac instead of testing for RCC?
  9. Director is too much paperwork haha, I actually want to be a nursing professor in a university or college someday, and also teach paramedics :)
  10. @barcode, I assume you already took your NClex, did you feel the program prepared you for the exam? Or did you need to do more studying on your own to feel prepped for it? Also, have you been able to find work with just your ADN? Thanks in advance for the answers :)
  11. @nataliekorn, what part of the hospital do you volunteer in at County USC, I used to drop patients off there often :)
  12. Thanks for the kind words of encouragement everyone, and @barcode, yea the alternate schools I applied at are muy muy expensive, but if I can get my RN faster and start work and go to school two times a week online for my MSN after that, not too bad life management wise, fiscally, I figure working as a nurse and not spending any money, I can pay off student loans in two to three years most. :) Well, either way I just need one school to accept me, haha.
  13. Yes I did, I mean I am still in a good position, but there is always a possibility I could end up an alternate in the worse case scenario. Well, that's according to the counselor, I was hoping to just being accepted for sure, haha. Hopefully, Western, UCLA, or APU will still give me a chance if I can't get into Mtsac.
  14. Thanks for the infor barcode. And congrats to you ladies and gentleman that are already accepted, I have to wait till November to find out if I'm in haha, oh wells, my fault for being a bad student at Cal Poly.
  15. Candidate approval, appointment made :), hope we get in.
