Mount Sinai ABSN Summer 2020

Hi all,

Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for the ABSN program starting Summer 2020?

I found out that I needed to send in an updated transcript last minute since my prerequisites for Fall 2018 wasn’t showing their grades for some reason. A technical glitch. Then the application was finally marked as “verified” which in NursingCas lingo meant it was complete (according to their support team). The individual items you submitted should all say ”complete” when you look at them in the expanded view. Hope that helps.

Ahh! I see. When I click on "status" it says my transcripts arrived and my evaluations/references were accepted. But under "My App" all sections say completed. Nothing verified though

I already asked this question but I'll repeat it again. Does anyone is taking or planning to take Pathophysiology or Pharmacology before entering the program?

Hey there. I haven’t been formally accepted yet but I didn’t think those courses were even a requirement.

Hey, I just think some who are already in their cohorts were recommending to take it if you can before the semester begins. But someone did mention that they don’t think it would be completed before July 1st, in order for it to be considered a transfer credit or it wouldn’t count.

Hey Devochka89 (is this name after the band? thatd be neat ha) I plan on taking Patho after talking to a few students currently enrolled in the program. I plan on taking it at Portage. It sounds like Pharm is referenced more throughout the nursing program from what one student told me, so I don't want to cram it all in during two months and then remember nothing during the nursing courses. The courses have to be complete by July 1st, portage allows you to take everything at your own pace (except the exams: I think you need to allow two days in between each exam).

When I emailed about whether or not to take it w Portage, the response I got was basically " your call, either you could it now or take it during the first semester" so I believe so. I'd like to think the school would direct me to take it somewhere else if they didn't accept Portage when I clearly state thats where I'm planning to take it at jaja.

Are you sure PSON takes the credits for Patho & Pharm from Portage? I recall someone at PSON saying that PSON is picky on who they take credits from for specific courses.
