Mount Sinai ABSN Summer 2020

Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for the ABSN program starting Summer 2020?

I am clearly stating, I do not know if what I heard is true. I did not hear similar stories about other programs. I, and I think others here, are making a life changing decision. What I am saying is also subjective, I get that but the fact of the matter is that each and every accelerated program is going to have similar issues regarding logistics, learning platforms, and everything else involved in a program that CRAMS an entire program into one year/15 months of time.

I attend Mount Sinai and I know people that are very close to me that attend Pace, but again, my opinion is subjective and may differ from the next guy/gal. Good luck with your decision and I wish you all the best.

Hi everyone! I'm new here and received an email stating that due to COVID 19 PSON extended their application deadline to end of May. Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone had any insight if the cohort for this fall is already full? I don't want to apply and pay an application fee if the class is already full ?

I applied a few days ago! So I’m hoping it’s not full full yet since they’re still accepting and interviewing candidates

Are the interviews a new thing? I thought mount Sinai doesn’t do interviews.

LOL @moreteaplease. I know right. I felt like I was watching a political debate on The View. Although, I have to admit, I do see EVERYONE'S point regarding the organization/opinions of the programs. I also have a zoom interview this Friday. Best of luck to you!! ?

How long did you guys hear back about an interview after submitting your application?

LOL @sha17 I agree. It’s my belief that attitude can make or break an experience and frustration tolerance differs with each person.

Hi @queenslimmm my application wasn’t marked complete on NursingCas until literally just prior to the Feb 1 deadline. I got the interview invite April 6.

That’s so weird! Do you know if you were missing documents or waiting for references to be completed? My says received, I’m not sure if you should say completed

I found out that I needed to send in an updated transcript last minute since my prerequisites for Fall 2018 wasn’t showing their grades for some reason. A technical glitch. Then the application was finally marked as “verified” which in NursingCas lingo meant it was complete (according to their support team). The individual items you submitted should all say ”complete” when you look at them in the expanded view. Hope that helps.
