    NYU Accelerated Nursing Fall 2020

I have no idea what administrations exact rationale is, but I can share this much: I was accepted into the program relatively early(like...early April y'all) and never responded. I eventually decided I did, indeed, wish to attend the program and accepted my package. Like nearly 3 months later... so only administration knows how many other students are in a similar spot, and those are the spots you're waiting for. I mean it worked great for me, but I recognize that's a struggle for other students waiting desperately to hear back. I do imagine they are letting a bunch of students know at once.

Hi everyone, is there a FB group?

I never accepted/denied my acceptance, and I have concerns about the program I did say yes too, so I called financial aid today to understand the breakdown. In regards to purely tuition and fees, the program costs around 26k-30k a semester. So for both fall 2020-Spring 2021 , you'd pay nearly 56k, purely looking at tuition and not counting any financial aid (scholarships and loans) My five cents but: It sounds like everyone does get something, but I imagine that the more time that passes by, the less there is in the pot. In regards to Summer and fall 2021, both of those would be calculated separately but they expect 1-3 percent increases. again, give or take 26k-30k. I wish I could be more precise but I cant! because fall 2021 and Summer 2021 costs haven't been set, so you have to do an estimation. None of this includes room and board, books and supplies, transportation and what they delegate as " other education costs" which adds about 12.5k per semester. so if you include living and miscellaneous costs with tuition, your KNOWN cost is 38,500 for each semester (fall and Spring) and about 40,500 potentially for Summer and fall since costs DO rise. Hope this is helpful!

Thank you, I wish you the same and will DM you if I do hear from someone regarding credit transfer!

I haven't, unfortunately. All I know is what I've read from past Allnurses posts. A lot of posters talk about the program being difficult, but I don't remember anyone mention any administration systemic issues really sticking out to them.

uh....was anyone struck by how disorganized the program sounds from yesterday's meeting? just me? I've been going over all the notes I made of what they answered and...it's not great. I thought the two students answered more questions than actual staff.

So I figured why not post this here : anybody want to form a study group for Patho on Portage Learning? I recognize the class isn't even that hard: I just struggle to study in my apt without having anyone to study with. I've been registered since late April and STILL haven't started to really study aside from reading material *facepalm* I'm normally a really solid student and successfully wrapped up APII but feel like I could benefit from a study group during this time: if you feel the same way, feel free to shoot me a PM.

I have a few questions for anyone who went to Helene Fuld for their B.S program: how was it for you? I have a bachelors degree and have also taken numerous nursing courses like API and II, etc. because I also applied to ABSN programs. I was conditionally accepted to Helene Fuld ( I just need to take their TEAS exam and get a passing grade) How likely is Helene Fuld to take most of my coursework? For those students who were transfer students or Second Degree, did you find that the school worked with you to accept most of the classes? I'm thinking that if they find that most of my coursework is equivalent to what they're asking for, I could graduate in about 3 semesters. I was also accepted to Mt. Sinai's program, so now I'm feeling conflicted. I'm going to call tomorrow, but wanted to ask people what their experience was like at Helene Fuld,

Patho and Pharm aren't required, but they are optional co-requisites. You can always just take them in the program, but you have the choice of taking them before classes begin in August (they need to be completed by July 1st though)
