I just realized that my fundamentals professor is only giving our class 90 minutes to do a 100 question final! We are FREAKING OUT! I think I'm about to suffer an anxiety attack! Please help!

I suggest if the class is panicking that you all contact the instructor for more information about the feasibility of this exam. I'm assuming that the professor has written the exam such that it can be completed in the allotted time frame. 100 questions in 90 minutes, doesn't seem outrageous for a multiple choice exam.

Sounds like they want to separate the men from the boys.

We had to do this in our pediatric class for one of our exams. It was more questions than time given and I don't think I got any of them wrong. The teacher is try to get you (the students) to choose one answer and stick to it instead of going back and changing your answer. It was one of the BEST exams I have ever gone through to prepare for the NCLEX.

Seems about right if all items are 'forced selection' - multiple choice, T-F, drag & drop, etc.... if there are any essay-type items, this would be stretching it.

Our lab tests in A&P were 75 questions in 60 minutes and it was a practical exam with no word bank. It sounds like a lot in a very short period of time, but if you know your stuff, there's no reason you can't achieve it.

Hey, OP, newsflash: This is college. And as a corollary: Did your grandmother ever tell you not to borrow trouble? Enough with the "freaking out." Yours is not the first set of fundies students in the history of time that ever got an exam like this. Your faculty knows what it's doing. You'll be fine.

I dropped Biology class because the teacher made the rules as she went along. She gave us twenty-five minutes to do a 65 question test and some of it was filled in the blank. I gave her a bad evaluation at the end of the semester. She loved seeing students barely pass her class. She also picked favorites in her classes. She was prejudges toward Caucasians but didn't report her because getting the proof and proving the facts are not easy. I changed classes and forgot about her. I rated her on ratemyteacher so people know to not take her.

Totally do-able. Some questions you will know the answer to immediately, so you'll cruise right through them.
Calm down. Getting all freaked out isn't going to help you at all. You'll be fine.

If it is multiple choice, it's totally doable. I study a lot and finish 75 questions in about 45 minutes.

We get 1.5 minute for each question, but most of the time students don't use up all that. Some people simply don't do tests as fast as others. I'm not the slowest but I take my time and I re-check the scantron. Also, I came across several exams that are incredibly difficult that took me much longer to do each question.

Sometimes the comments in these posts are so condescending. Is that really necessary? I have been at two levels of nursing school, and the standard at one school was 1.5 minutes per question. The other was 1 minute per question. The poster has a right to "freak out" - no need to be rude.
