couple months ago, i think it was march, one of the girls i work with got called home b/c her daughter had an accident. She was jumping on the bed with her brother, landed on the bed, feet hit the wall, and a set of deer antlers that were on the wall fell and landed in her eye. severe damage to lens and cornea.
alex is doing well now, has no vision in her eye, but thankfully also has no pain in the eye. dr's at childrens hospital is waiting to do a cornea transplant, unfortunately he has no cornea's he feels are appropriate for a 5 year old girls eye. he doesn't want one that has had a lot of work done to it, or one he will have to replace in 20 years. Chrissy (friend from work), is handling this very well, but has asked for prayers that there will soon be a cornea to transplant. Her little girl is missing out on seeing so much, and is lookign forward to starting school soon. so if you could put alex and chrissy in your thoughts tonight, i know it will be well appreciated. No prayers are as strong as those prayers of a nurse!:kiss
