a minute for Alex

couple months ago, i think it was march, one of the girls i work with got called home b/c her daughter had an accident. She was jumping on the bed with her brother, landed on the bed, feet hit the wall, and a set of deer antlers that were on the wall fell and landed in her eye. severe damage to lens and cornea.

alex is doing well now, has no vision in her eye, but thankfully also has no pain in the eye. dr's at childrens hospital is waiting to do a cornea transplant, unfortunately he has no cornea's he feels are appropriate for a 5 year old girls eye. he doesn't want one that has had a lot of work done to it, or one he will have to replace in 20 years. Chrissy (friend from work), is handling this very well, but has asked for prayers that there will soon be a cornea to transplant. Her little girl is missing out on seeing so much, and is lookign forward to starting school soon. so if you could put alex and chrissy in your thoughts tonight, i know it will be well appreciated. No prayers are as strong as those prayers of a nurse!:kiss

Oh, (((( Alex )))). My God bless her and her family during this time! My heart goes out to all...

Alex will have many prayers said for her today, may she be blessed.

Same here. Many prayers and good wishes.

PLUS do make sure that you have an organ donor card or drivers license sticker saying the same! Tell your family and anyone else that will listen.

That's how little girls and old men too get a gift of new sight.

I talked to Alex's mom today....they found a donor and her transplant surgery is scheduled for the 22 of August! Her mom and I thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts! I guess He was listening! Soon she will be able to see out of her 2 beautiful eyes!  :D :D

(((thoughts and prayers to the family)))) May the Lord put His hand on them, and keep them strong, and use this for His glory! Amen.
