If you won the powerball lottery, would you keep your nursing license or turn in your badge?
Hank
Heck, with that kind of money, I'd be getting me a new body...New knees, new hips, cosmetic surgery, collaginize my lips, LIPOSUCTION, a breast UP LIFT!
I'd look like $325 million! Then I'd tear up that license and tell them to kiss my new beautiful A$$!!!...Hey, it don't hurt to PHANTASIZE...
You guys are great...you started my morning off with a big laugh and a smile! :) (also I'm cleaning coffee off my keyboard)
Definitely total body liposuction would be tops on my list...cellulite taketh over these days...where the heck does that stuff come from??? Swear I woke up one day and it was just 'there'....hehehe.
Ain't it great to fantasize on how we 'could' return the XX#%0 license? Hmm...maybe I could submerge it in a container of that same sucked out cellulite...with some of that exploding dye stuff banks put in with stolen money.....
I would keep it. First I would pay for the demolition of every abandoned crack house and dilapidates senior building in the city. With all the space, I would build new, senior living buildings, havea room-service-type cooking service and/or full-sewrvice cafeteria so the old folks can never have to worry about cooking again, unless that makes them happy. Then I would build the prettiest senior daycare center you've ever seen, staffed with nurse practitioners to see to clients needs so they don't have to worry about getting the care they need. I would be CEO of course, and I think I would need my license to do what I'd like. BUT I would never work FOR anyone else again!!
I wouldn't work either! On the other hand, I don't live in a sate with a lottery, and I don't "invest" in lottery tickets when I visit states that do.
Lottery: Taxes for people who can't do math.
Ah, but the fantasy....... Luxury, trips, going somewhere to ski when I'm sick of it being hot "here" and someplace with a warm beach when I'm tired of wearing a sweater.....
I'd keep my license up to date, though. Why not??? With that kinda money, I wouldn't even think "here I am, paying for the privilege of doing this!" and resent it.

Oh, to have such a conundrum!
Lessee, can't keep it without working, meeting hour requirements
If keep it with that much $$$$, some relative will sue, natch
Turn it in? nah, just not renew! but send 'letter of goodbye' to BoN
Definitely frame the little torture ticket!
This is one problem we don't have :)

I would probably still keep my license, just in case. I would not be using it though. After 27yrs of on my feet, aching back, bad knees and hips nursing I would give my body a break. I'd be joining NannaNurse on the island with no sick people!!!
