Miami Dade College (MDC) Spring 2013 Gen. FT/PT& Accelerated Nursing program

Published

Hi all,

I've just handed in my application to MDC for Spring '13.

Right now I'm overall score is 82 but I'm planning on retaking the TEAS in August to improve that.

If anyone has a book list from previous students, please send. I'd love to get cracking.

Wishing you all best of luck. Josh

Does anyone know if the transition face to face classes are offered in the evening?

@lilsuzy130 I think we get to register at orientation. If you find something out let us know :)

Will do! By the way... is anyone taking the cpr class next sunday 10/28 @ medical campus?

AngelIV, It was a tough choice to make b/c I really wanted to accelerated to finish faster and was up for the challenge, but considering I have kids, I decided one more semester is not that bad. Cant wait to start already!!! Congrats on your acceptance and see you in Homestead! :)

We were able to register before orientation. Whenever your program changes from preselect to nursing, you can register. For this semester, it was a week or so before orientation.

I thought once we accepted they would pick our classes for us. Ill confirm on Monday when I go to accept the spot.

Did you finally decide if you're doing the online or face to face?

I just tried to register to see what would happen and it said that my appointment to register was Monday, Oct 29th and to try back then.

I'm going to go with the face to face option. I don't think I'd be able to teach myself all this info, and be able to pass the NCLEX. I spoke with a friend who did it online and you still have to show up to take some tests, midterms, and finals as well as posting discussions and papers online.

Hello all. I'm doing the Generic at Medical. Does anyone have an idea or know of where I can find information on class/clinical schedules? I work nights from 11p-7:30a and want to see how this may fit.

Accepted on 10/18 for all options. Debating between accelerated and full time. I live in homestead so full time would be close but family especially pushing for accelerated. I'm looking for info on just how awful accelerated will be. Full time is like 10 credits first semester and accelerated is 21 credits first semester. Has anyone here taken accelerated or know of anyone who has? Thanks and Congrats to us all!!!!

Accelerated is totally crazy I have a friend that did it and that year it will only b u and that program u can't do anything else!

Well generic is only one more semester. It can't be that much worse!
