maybe you should try to request for them to transfer your docs to ahpra vic. submitted mine initially to ahpra wa last dec 2011. then i opted to have it transferred to vic.
i did but she wouldnt allow me. i asked for it to be transferred two months ago and she said that its under assessment..the usual line. but still after 2 months nothing.maybe you should try to request for them to transfer your docs to ahpra vic. submitted mine initially to ahpra wa last dec 2011. then i opted to have it transferred to vic.
Hi, I'm new here. Can someone please help me as im experiencing some difficulties regarding my AHPRA application. I'm a nurse, still working at UST hosp. anyway,re my ahpra app, I received their letter last week regarding their refusal to approve my app. they pointed out the reasons. 1.) i dont have NMBA approved qualifications. and they sent me a link of NMBA approved programs of study. 2.) I havent taken NCLEX or CGFNS and my experience as a nurse is in a non english speaking country (Philippines). 3.) my CPD (cont.prof devt) is not enough. ---so, they're askin me to send more docs for them to reconsider (or not) my app. their final decision will be on sept 14. The officer I've talked to said that i should have like reasons for every point they made re my app. It's fine with me. I just wanna know if there are instances when they don't even offer an applicant the bridging course??

Hi, may I know where did you send your application? As far as I have noted, APHRA's approach to international applications varies in every state.
I think there's one here who had the same situation like yours. She lodged her application in QLD also.
what happened to her app? this phase is very frustrating. Now I have to go to PRC again, get a cert of good standing, have my certs certified (for the nth time) , make a letter (of appeal) and send everything to ahpra. my cert of good standing, and seminar certs were previously sent to ahpra but since i dont have anything to send anymore, im just going to re-send those.
Hi everyone, I'm just new to this kind of topic. .Im planning to work via BP. .but I really don't know where to start my application. . i'm working though i'm at my 1 and haf year of my career. do i need to send CoE now when applying? please fellow nurses. .i cant trace what, where, how to do the first step. and also, i'm targeting to take at least later next year ARNTP or IHNA. please. . your answers are really appreciated. thank you everyone.
Hi @drummerracer,
While waiting for the answers from those more knowledgeable about your concern, I have some questions about your case:
1.) i dont have NMBA approved qualifications. and they sent me a link of NMBA approved programs of study.
If you accomplished the AGOS-40, they are aware that you are an overseas-trained nurse. If you finished BSN here in the Philippines, how many years did you take it?
2.) I havent taken NCLEX or CGFNS and my experience as a nurse is in a non english speaking country (Philippines).
Have you asked your IELTS provider to send your Test Report Form directly to AHPRA?
3.) my CPD (cont.prof devt) is not enough.
If I'm not mistaken, AHPRA requires a minimum of 20 hours per year. How many hours were the total of all your CPD activities for the past year?
