  1. hi! it's from VIC. glad it's okay so i can send my applications ASAP. thank you, @einalem29 :)
  2. I received my bridging letter from AHPRA through my email. Do I have to wait for the paper copy of the bridging letter or can I just print the one I received by email and submit this to the BP schools (those which are requiring original or certified copies for application)? Time is running out and I still don't have the paper copy.
  3. I called St. Luke's Extension Clinic regarding immunizations and they said they don't provide such services. I don't have any record of my immunizations so I'm guessing I have to have adult vaccinations. These are what I need: dTpa Hep B MMR Varicella (I had chickenpox during grade school) TST screening Can anyone suggest where I can get vaccinated and be provided with its certification (evidence of immunizations)? Metro Manila area please. I'd appreciate any suggestion. TIA
  4. Hi. I don't think those nurses were exempted solely "because of NCLEX." I believe they worked as RNs in the US for some time, that's why they were registered without completing a program in a BP school. I reviewed my post on August 28[/url] where I clarified what I knew about the "In-principle" registration: Here is one example, as you've requested: By the way, I'm not done with my application :)
  5. Thank you for this warning, @cummulus. I hope you're okay there.
  6. It seems there shouldn't be an issue here if you're going to be enrolled in a BP school anyway. In that case, I wonder why your case officer had to bring up the NCLEX-RN and CGFNS exams? Unless you're being considered for "In-Principle" registration. (not sure about the term; there are a couple of forumers here who were not required to undergo BP because they previously worked in US hospitals as RNs.) By the way, your IELTS result has scores of 7 and/or above in each component, right? Usually, the number of units are equivalent to the number of hours the seminar/workshop was taken. How many are the total units of your seminars or how many hours did it actually take you to have your CPD? If you're planning to re-send the SAME documents to AHPRA-QLD, then there wouldn't be any changes to their assessment of your application, as well. It would be better to have your application packet forwarded to other states, if you're allowed to do so. Let's wait for others to answer your question. Good luck!
  7. Hi @drummerracer, While waiting for the answers from those more knowledgeable about your concern, I have some questions about your case: If you accomplished the AGOS-40, they are aware that you are an overseas-trained nurse. If you finished BSN here in the Philippines, how many years did you take it? Have you asked your IELTS provider to send your Test Report Form directly to AHPRA? If I'm not mistaken, AHPRA requires a minimum of 20 hours per year. How many hours were the total of all your CPD activities for the past year?
  8. Hi @vitug.annie, You paid the full amount of the tuition fee, yet CON hasn't given you a slot? Please give us an update once CON gives you a refund. (I hope they would.) Good luck.
  9. I can't find the AHPRA requirements thread.
  10. @sendmethere: actually, I printed the instructions on certifying documents from the AHPRA website and I didn't see that specific example. Now it makes me wonder if I have the updated instructions. I'll have to check the AHPRA site the next time I log on to my computer...
  11. Hi @sendmethere! What a great idea! Thank you! How about his office's street address? Was it present on either of the receipt or his stamp on your documents?
  12. Ok. I will go back to the Notary Public tomorrow and have him notarize the other pages. I appreciate your answers. Thank you, @chelseaxyrene!
  13. That's good news! :) Follow up: For documents with, for example, 3 pages, the annotation is located only on the third page. The notary public signed his initials on the first 2 pages. Is this what was done to your documents, as well? Sorry if I ask too many questions. I paid thousandsss for the notarization and I hope it won't go to waste. Thank you, @chelseaxyrene!
  14. Hi @chelseaxyrene! Thank you. Did the authorized officer print that annotation on the back of the document, too? And AHPRA accepted your notarized documents as valid, correct? I'm thinking of returning to the Notary Public tomorrow to rectify this. I'm just wondering if it would be ok if the following annotation would be handwritten instead of printed or stamped on the front page (instead of the back page): "I have sighted the original document and certify this to be a true copy of the original"? However, if your case is similar to mine (in that the annotation is on the back page) and those notarized documents were accepted by AHPRA, then I might not return to the notary public and instead lodge the application tomorrow.
  15. Question on having documents notarized I just had my documents certified by a notary public. I showed him a printed copy of AHPRA's instruction on certifying documents. BUT this is what he did. For 1-page documents, he printed on the back of the document the following: I repeat, this was printed on the back of 1-page documents. And for documents with more than 1 page, he printed the above statement on the back of the last page. He initialed every page before that. What's wrong with this picture? HELP! Suggestions would be appreciated.
