Im not sure about the show money but im guessing you should have at least 20, 000 -25, 000 in the bank to show you can support your stay and study.

If you dont have enough money in the bank and someone will be supporting you such as the tuition and accommodation, you should get an affidavit of support and consent from the person supporting you and attach the bank certificate.

I havent browsed the evisitor 600 yet but thefe should be a portion there about where you plan to stay, just put the address and name of person and your relation.

Otherwise, compute your accommodation expenses to the number of weeks you should be staying plus the tuition, and estimate your daily living expenses.

I have already done the affidavit of support applying in aus and other countries, so I hope it should work.

Hi Mae_Oz,

I chose the MCIE because they were very upfront with everything relating to the clinical placements. I was very happy to be explained in detail where my placements will be, that there is guaranteed 10 weeks of clinical placement and even which areas I will be doing my rotations. For me this clinical placement for 10 weeks is highly valuable and to know that it will be in a hospital appeals to me too.

Another reason was they have offered a very good rate for the February batch and they even offered help with accommodation.

@jmolina1985 thanks for your words of warning :) MCIE are able to help with arranging accommodation in Horsham for me which is of great help.

Hey folks,

For those arriving and will be staying in Melbourne CBD (Lonsdale Inst), this is good news:

myki money - Public Transport Victoria

Mae: ETEA offered 9999 for the Nov intake or if you signed up early. IHNA's program runs for a minimum of 10 weeks I reckon but is flexible and may extend up to 12 weeks if necessary for your learning needs.

does anyone here heard about refund of registration fee from ahpra?

Hi! Here's a response from my RO regarding the refund:

"In regards to a refund for the registration fee, please respond by email stating that you accept the Boards proposal to refuse registration and referral to a Board-approved Bridging program. A refund request form will then be emailed to you for completion. This can be returned to AHPRA by email.

When re-applying for registration with the Board you will only be required to pay the registration and application fee and not the additional overseas assessment fee. There will be no need to resubmit qualification information previously submitted to AHPRA."

What visa should I apply if I bring my husband with me while I do my bridging course?

Most BPs I believe will be subclass 600. I'm not sure if this visa type has any 'dependent' functions to it.

About online visa application:

Just have your immiaccount, scan all the needed requirements (all certified copies) and answer the 18 questions. Its a very friendly online service. I advise to do your medical after completing the online application. They will give you instructions how. Regarding show money: it can be around 500,000PHP, I was told that 300,000PHP is enough. But I made sure that my tuition fee plus my living allowance is covered with the bank statement I attached. I don't think a dependent can avail of such visa type. They should apply independently. As I said before, it took me 3 weeks and 2 days before they granted it. But without the long holidays, it can be around 8-9 working days. But it really depends.

Did you receive your OFFICIAL notice of refusal? I received my last 15th. More than 2 months after they provided me with the refusal and referral letter.

I thought I will receive my refund for registration fee automatically after a month. But it seems not. Here's a copy of the last message of my RO:

(I asked about the refund information she was saying because I didn't receive any.)

Dear Mr G9P8,

Thank you for your email and apologies for the confusion.

I have checked with the registration officer who completed your refusal letter and the refund will be completed using the details we already have on file. If the officer requires any updated details from you, they will write to you accordingly.

Kind regards,
