  1. You're can go to any laboratory who does the tests. You don't have to go to hospitals.
  2. yes. any speciality where you got to practice as a nurse is accepted.
  3. MCIE is not closing... they offer other courses, it's just the registration with AHPRA that is about to expire. The registered institution with AHPRA is Wimmera Health Care Group. MCIE was the one who took care of the lecture part for the IRON and was the one who interviewed incoming students. The tuition fee was not expensive when I did mine, other institutions had higher fees. They are actually very considerate regarding payment of tuition fee as well.
  4. Yes... this is your College degree and include the NLE for the examination.
  5. Mine was about a week. Fit2work would email you when they have sent the results.
  6. it depends if the school you intend to enter needs a chest x-ray as well.
  7. You can go to any Pediatrics clinic... they have most of the vaccinations needed... then get a certification from them. For the tuberculine skin test, you could go to a pulmonologist. If your school requires chest x-ray as well, do it at the same time you had your skin test.... the date won't matter anyway... but just so you could do all at the same time especially if the clinic is incorporated in the diagnostic center.
  8. That is needed for all new overseas nurses. It was a new requirement which they started on February of this year. It is actually indicated in their website. And there is a link there that will direct you to fit2work.
  9. There were schools who had to let students wait for available hospitals for their clinical placements... there are some that will assign you to a different region or far areas... For those with hospitals, clinical placement is sure and in the same region. Consider your time in completing the course... and since you are considering the amount to be paid... you are also critical of the expenditures... try inquiring with the school you are currently eyeing if your tuition includes your transportation when you will be assigned for your clinical placement. Also ask how much will your accommodation be during the lecture and the clinical placement. time and the money is the essence since we don't get to work while doing the bridging course and our visa is limited to 3 months... you could avail of the 6 months as well if the DIBP will approve it.
  10. suggestion to those who are still searching for a school for bridging course... select the institution that has a hospital of it's own... or is a hospital itself... for your clinical practice.
  11. To those who are still looking for IRON schools... I suggest that you find one that has an assured hospital placement... so as to spend less money than stay in Au for a long time just waiting for an available clinical placement. And you don't get to finish the course on time if you just take the lecture... wait for a few weeks... and then take the clinical placement...
  12. After submitting your AGOS40 and CV and other docs, you can request the Certificate of Good standing from PRC... and PRC has to mail it directly to AHPRA... There is additional fee for PRC to do this and there is a need to follow up with PRC if the document has been sent. There is no need to get documents from CHED
  13. Just include it when you submit your agos40 and CV... it's proof that what you have indicated in your CV is true and correct. It's not exactly needed... but it's not bad to add it as well.
  14. just include it with your agos 40... just notarized copies only. do not send the original copies
