Hi guyz. I'm due for the January 2013 intake at La trobe. Anyone here the same?Anyway, does anyone have a copy of a vaccination certification/letter or something? I would be really grateful for the help.[/QUOT
Count me in...
Hi! I'm thinking to apply for La Trobe's January 2013 intake. May I know how much is the TF?
Thanks in advance!!
Last time I checked it was 9900. But according to some here, January intake for La Trobe is already closed. Next intake will be on June
Thanks! You're right..I had made an inquiry last 2011 and it was 9900. However, when I tried to check their website earlier, they already increased to 10,500 for 2013 intake and it's in January and May. Did they tell you it will be in June? thanks a lot..:)
Hi everyone! Im just new here. Im having problems with my application for such a long time now. 2 years ago, I worked at a government hospital in SAudi and signed for a 2-year contract, however because of some personal reasons, I went back to the Philippines earlier than expected. I just worked there for 2 months. Because of a very tragic incident, since they wont let me have an emergency leave, which I totally understood because I am still not a regular nurse at that time, I then decided to resign and surprisingly, they accepted my resignation but with some considerations, one of which is that they will not issue a certificate of employment for me. I also was not able to file for a registration/license as a nurse under SAudi Council (which is basically like a PRC in Phils.), because one of the requirements was to complete a 3-month probationary period, which I did not complete. It was actually the first time that I worked as an OFW nurse, so I did not mind such documents were actually important. So when I came back here in the Philippines, AFter a year, I decided to apply in Australia. I already complied with all the requirements, but my case officer asked that I should provide a Certificate of REgistration or a Certificate of Good Standing from my SAudi employer. This is where my BIG problem comes in. I have contacted my colleague who is still in SAudi right now, asking a favor to request the said document in my behalf, I had all the necessary scanned emails from AHPRA to show supporting documents to the Saudi Nursing Admin that I badly needed that certification. However, it is just now that I knew that Saudi employers are not that considerate to nurses from other countries. They will not issue any certification in my behalf since I have not file for a registration under SAudi Council. MEaning, they do not have my file because in the first place, I was not able to register. And so, I emailed my case officer several times, asking desperately to just waive the said Certification because after all options I took, the SAudi Council cannot send them anything. What really made me sad and hopeless is that, Ahpra Staff are not that considerate and worst, they will have to withdraw my application because of that single document, which I feel is very unfair in my part. Can someone give me an advice on what to do...I filed last SEptember 2011 under WA,by the way.....I really dont want to waste 1 year of waiting and the fact that I have spent a huge amount of money all for NOTHING. Please really need some suggestions....
I think the only solution to your problem is to apply to other state and dont mention that you worked in SAUDI..
please give some advice:
There are 3 schools that have the validity of until September 30, 2012.. is there anyone here applied or bound for intakes after september 30, 2012? Do you think that accreditation will be approved later on? what will happen if you take the intake and the school will be accredited after the commencement of your intake> Can you still register to ahpra.???

yes i thats also my suggestion :) do you have any working exp here in phils? if you do then i think that would be enough. dont mention your saudi exp anymore since your not even licensed there.
same goes for the nclex passers - us licensed nurses. if you have no working exp in the US its better for you not to declare that your us licensed since ahpra will just ask you to provide a cert of good standing from US and this would just prolong your waiting time. but of course if you do have a working exp there then you should declare it in your cv.
did AHPRA give you a refund of the assessment fee?

Hi. If I may ask, did you place in your AHPRA application that you were registered in Saudi? If you were not registered in Saudi then you shouldn't have placed it in your application form, otherwise, AHPRA will really ask for a certificate of good standing. I too have worked in Saudi so I understand your situation. I have already secured my Good Standing from Saudi. Did you try sending them an explanation letter through post? My friend had some issues regarding her US License and her agency advised her to send an explanation letter through post. Anyway, it is just a suggestion.
