okay, people! who is with me on this one? i am feeling a little nervous about all those slides! i'm looking forward to meeting everyone in this course!

i will gather up any useful sites i find in the last med micro club and elsewhere and put them in this post!

here's a start ..

some sites from fall 05 club:

:uhoh3: Taking Micro in Jan. I hear it is a very tough class, but if those before me got through it so can I (God willing )

I am taking Microbiology starting in Jan :uhoh21:

Still traumatized from A&P1....and scared!

Specializes in LTC/Skilled Care/Rehab.

I'm planning on taking A&P II and Micro. I'm a little scared of both since I heard both of the teachers are hard. I'm sure I will be able to handle it though. I'm looking forward to having a month of off school though. I need time for my brain to recharge :icon_smil

Specializes in PeriOp, ICU, PICU, NICU.

Now I am thinking about taking Spanish 104 instead of Micro :imbar . It isn't that I am afraid of taking the two classes (micro and A&P II....well I am a little afraid :uhoh21: ), but I would be getting out of class at almost 8:30 every night. And DH picks me up from school since the trains aren't too safe at that time....especially the one I would have to take. Then we get home right before 9 and the kids have to go right to bed. Most of the time DS is really crabby when we get home since he is so tired. If I take Spanish, then I can take the train home two nights a week and DH can pick me up the other two. Next year I am thinking about putting DS in daycare a couple of days a week so I can go to school during the day. Now I don't know if I should take Micro now to get it over with or just wait until next year  .

Still waiting for my school to get the books in. I have to read the first 2 chapters before the first day of class. We are supposed to pick them up sometime next week.

Specializes in Medical Floor RN.

I would love to be in for the Microbiology Club, but I am not sure what it is. I am starting Micro on Jan. 9th. Just finished up A&PII Lab last week and the final for lecture is tomorrow. If anyone doesn't mind, I would love some info on the club. Thanks in advance.

I hear ya! Do what is best for you at the moment. You are going to have to take the classes either way, so take which ever is more convinient for you ;)

It has been the tradition to start a club for each of the sciences (created by pre-nursing members). The club is basically to get feedback, info, and moreover SUPPORT from fellow members who will be taking the course at the same time you are, or from members who have taken the course. We usually post link to useful websites, and basically encourage each other until we finish it. ;)

Welcome aboard :lol2:

Count me in I begin class Jan. 12th along with A&PII. I here the teacher is very hard but it was the only class to fit my schedule (I work full-time). So, it was either that or Inorganic Chem., which for some schools I don't need. So, hopefully I will get into those schools (ADN programs) which don't require it then I can bridge to the UCSF MSN program:D

Wow, Micro and A&P 2 together? You are going to be one busy bee :roll

I am trying to keep my head above water with my A&P 2 at the moment. 1.5 weeks more and it will be overwith :specs:

Welcome to the club, and best wishes to you.

Thanks. My life has always been busy with school so hey?? I just finished my A&P I and I got an A in the class. I'm so proud of myself. My BA is in Sociology, so this is a whole new world to me and I did it!! :yelclap: Ready for A&P II and Micro.
